Can't find eisy/Going Offline

Featured Replies

So this all started with intermittent and irregular eisy going offline.  This was solved after researching and finding I had the wrong version firmware.  Once I tutored myself on backing up the system and then updating to v5.8.0 all was well in eisy land for several months.

This past week, UD Mobile notified me the system was offline.  I pressed the "button" until it turned red and then pressed again until it turned blue.  This put me back online.  This was similar scenario to before I upgrade the firmware.

This time after putting the system back online, I left town and in a few hours it went offline again.  When I attempted to restart the system I just could not get it back online.  I tried unplugging, going through all the reset, reboot, and shutdown steps and it still would not work.  The last step was factor reset and this still did not work.  Then I started going through the steps again with pressing the button until it turn red and then pressed again to turn blue.  This worked.  I don't know why or what combination made it work.  Is there some settings or updates I am missing that might be responsible for this behavior?

Let me add since my original post, I have now gone online, offline, online, and now offline again.

update

It's not mentioned in the write-up specifically: I was surprised to find that there are 6 different behaviors/actions to the eisy's power button and coming from the old school PC days, they were not intuitive. I printed a small sheet I keep near the eisy in case I need it.
