No connection between my eisy and PLM 2413S with the serial PLM adapter kit.

My new eisy with the serial PLM adapter kit. Installed, upgraded, and restored ISY-994 backup. PLM doesn't show up. PLM Status shows: "0 0 0 v0 / Not Connected".

I used the Universal Devices USB to Serial Kit for PLM blue cable to go from the adapter to the PLM and plugged the adapter into the USB on the back of the eisy. I have checked to ensure I have Insteon support selected and I've rebooted the eisy several times.

You may want to check the pins in the PLM's serial jack.

On the off chance one of them is not making connection.

As pointed out. A ticket with UDI  should get you an answer.

Did you power up the PLM first so it was fully booted up when the eisy powered up?

Under the Configuration tab on the eisy, do you have the box for Insteon support checked?

What is your eisy firmware and UI?

Have you tried removing power from the PLM and removing and resetting the USB cable at the PLM?

The pins look ok, and I tried to power up the PLM first and no luck,

Thank you everybody for your help,

Michel Kohanim has resolve the communication problem.

The brand new cable was not route well inside the RJ45 connector. Wire Orange is suppose to be inside pin 1 and it  was in pin 2. RJ452.thumb.jpg.8f9c1b56f86d6425babeca432044b6ae.jpg

Pin #1 is the serial signal from the PLM to the attached device. Pin #2 is NC. That will definitely cause a no PLM found error. Thank you for keeping us in the loop.

so the DIY cable I can make from an Amazon one is just orange Pin 1,  pink pin 7, yellow pin 8 ?

Can't comment on the color wires. Yes just 3 wires.

If yours is working then you got it correct.
