rayg Posted September 3 Posted September 3 This started today. 1- I could not log in with my normal credentials, the credentials had been reset to admin/admin 2- The Timezone was reset to Pacific instead of my normal timezone Other than that the system and programs are there (but obviously would not have run at the right times). Q1 Has anyone else experienced this (I tried looking for similar items before raising this)? Q2 Where are these configuration items stored? SD or other location? Is this documented? Q3 Should I mistrust this SD and replace it? Thanks for your help ...Ray Quote
Techman Posted September 3 Posted September 3 It's possible that your SD card is failing. One thing you can try is removing the card and cleaning its contacts with a soft eraser. If that doesn't help then you may want to replace the card. The configuration is stored on the SD card. Make sure you have a recent and viable backup. What is your ISY firmware version. How old is the ISY? 2 Quote
rayg Posted September 4 Author Posted September 4 Thanks Techman. ISY must be 8+ years old now (time flies). SD Card was replaced last year at your suggestion. Funny that the programs are all there and that it was only the Timezone and Admin user ID and password that were clobbered. Could it be the SD contact in the device itself that need cleaning? Is there a method for that? I did get a backup done yesterday. Does the Eisy suffer from this or does it make use of more reliable memory? ...Ray Quote
Techman Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I'm not aware of any way to clean the internal contacts in the ISY994. Have you tried rebooting the ISY. The problem you're having might be related to an issue with one of the configuration files on the SD card.. The eisy uses solid state memory, the specs are attched Quote
Brian H Posted September 4 Posted September 4 If the wall wart supply is old. Try a replacement. ISY994i has a wide input voltage range and we have seen wall warts cause all kinds of issues here. I personally had one on an ISY99i and one on a ISY994i go bad. Quote
