Ecobee reverting back to Home settings due to motion

Featured Replies

I am trying to use Geofence in UD Mobile with my EISY to set my Ecobee3 to Climate Type "Away" (64 deg for example) when I'm gone.

When I return, I would like the Climate Type to change to "Home" (70 deg for example).  This all works.

The issue is if I change the thermostat manually at the Ecobee to 72 deg and the thermostat sees motion in front of it, it restores back to the "Home" set temperature of 70 deg.  I have tried hold indefinitely, hold next, and a host of other things.  I've even tried to put electrical tape over what I thought was the motion sensor on the Ecobee, but that did not work.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Turn off smart home and away mode in the ecobee app under eco+ settings
