Morris Hansen Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I would like to monitor the status of the HVAC fan on a couple different systems. Fan state appears in the dashboard and the EISY, but it never changes. I can see on the thermostat that the fan is running so it would appear the Ecobee knows it, the API seems to support it, it is just not changing in the EISY system. Should this be working? Not sure what I can do from my side. This is a new thermostat and install. Thanks Quote
EricW Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 I have the same issue… I bought and installed Ecobee Polygot server yesterday just for the fan status to trigger some booster fans while HVAC fan is on… The status in Admin console doesn’t seem to update status of fan to trigger programs or scenes. I’ve restarted all after installs and status doesn’t seem to update. Quote
paulbates Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 (edited) I use the ecobee plug-in for reading fan status. I have a program that monitors the fan runtime for when its status is on, but not because of heat or cool cycles as I have several functions that cycle the fan manually and I want to track that. It's worked fine for the year I've had it. Something that will help is to go into pg3x for ecobee and turn on debug level logging. Let the event you're looking for happen. Attach the log here or pm it to @Jimbo.Automates and referring to this post. Edited December 27, 2024 by paulbates Quote
paulbates Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 If you have programs it will help if you paste the text of them here Quote
