Configuring Favorite Advanced Status Color/Value/Icon

Trying to get into "Configure Advanced Status..." per this method posted by @Javi  'Place Favorites Screen in Edit mode, Click the Favorite Tile, Select "Configure Advanced Status Color/Value/Icon Configuration"'.   However, when I do this, clicking the Favorite tile only executes it.  The screen shows the blue "Disable Edit Mode" bar at the bottom so I believe I'm in Edit mode, and I've tried restarting the app.  Clicking the 'three dots' on the tile to enter edit mode doesn't bring up the "Configure Advanced Status" option.  I know I've seen this option before, what am I doing wrong?

The instructions need to be updated, click the tile's menu to access the setting, no need for edit mode (except for tiles which do not show a menu when when edit mode is disabled).

Can you post a link to the instruction you followed? I will update.

Here is the link -- I'm trying to create a toggle button that changes color (Question 2 & 3 in the post)

Per your updated instructions, is that:  Click the tile's menu (three dots), then select "Edit Favorite" and then...?  I don't see the "Advanced Config" option (but know I have before :-)

The favorite must be linked to a Node for Advanced Config, Advanced config is in the Favorite's Tile Menu.  Advanced Config can also be found on the Home Tab Node's Menu.  Advanced config is linked to a Node.

The favorite Type (i.e Toggle) is in "Edit Favorite".  The node must support toggle, if not use the command type to create your own toggle (see wiki).

Ah, that's why Advanced Config is visible in the menu sometimes, and not others.

I've created a toggling routine with the Command type Favorite set to a run a 'Run if' program (if on, then turn off; else on).  The object controlled is a projector turned on/off by Network Resources, so there isn't a more traditional display node (like  an Insteon switch).  I tried setting the display node as the program itself but it just spins until I remove the Display Node.

However, it did work to set the Display Node to a variable that is set to '0' or '1' by the program turning the projector on/off.  The icon color now changes based on the value of the variable (colors set in 'Mapped Values' screen).   I also set the "Formatted Value" in Mapped Values to show "On" or "Off" (vs displaying a '0' or '1').

I'm also going to implement the icon color change with some of the favorites that are mapped to Insteon switches so, thanks, this will be a nice feature.

Great,  Can you explain this in more detail? Android or iOS?  This may be a bug.

It's on iOS (iPad).  In the "My Programs" list, I picked the name of the program that does the toggling on/off as the Display Node and the Display Status field says "REQUIRED!".  Opening that is a blank list so I cancelled, and pressed "SAVE" back on the Edit Favorite screen.  It returns to my Favorite page (folder) but the 'Projector' favorite now has a spinning wheel over it (that just keeps spinning forever).

It's not really a problem though, as I like my int variable approach, it's a nice way to create a toggle button that not only changes color, but change the Status value to be either 'ON' or 'OFF' based on the variable.  So now the along with changing the icon color red or green, the favorite reads "Projector ON" or "Projector OFF" (depending on the variable value).  I don't know if there's another way to change the favorite text, but this worked pretty well.

Here's what the favorite looks like (these are two images of one favorite tile that flips back and forth depending on the projector status):

This 'ON' button toggles to OFF when pressed  image.jpeg.07734f587703ec8ab46038ecdb1b273d.jpeg

Normally, the variable value would be where the "ON" and "OFF" text are, but by using the "Set Formatted Value to"  in "Mapped Values", one can make this change between "ON" and "OFF".  Maybe there's an easier way to do this, but seems to work well.

How you did this works. The empty status selection is some sort of bug however I cannot replicate.  Does this happen with all programs or with just this program?  If it is a single program does synchronization fix the issue?

If synchronization did not fix the issue:

When/If you have time open a ticket or send me a private message with a zipped copy of the UD Mobile backup file? If this only happens with one program include the name of the program (also the path if it is nested into other folders).  If it happens with all no need to specify.

Thanks!

@Javi

Synchronizing did fix the 'spinning' tile issue.

I then set the tile Display Node to the projector on/off program, the Display Status field to "Status",  and the Mapping Values equal to "Idle False" or "Idle True" (instead of a variable = '0' and '1') produced the same end result -- a 'toggling' Command type tile with the changing colors and the "ON" and "OFF" text.

I'm using the variable for some other logic so I'll stick with that approach, but good to know both ways work.
