bgrubb1 Posted Monday at 04:45 AM Posted Monday at 04:45 AM I have multiple Polisy devices remote and when I connect to them via cloud have issues. Everything comes up fine, but adding devices happens, but the AC doesnt update without a logout / login both zwave and Insteon the pop up boxes and activities show up on a local session but not via remote to the cloud Happens on 3 different Win11 machines. Have cleared cache, loaded latest etc. Works fine on cloud access to local machines Has anyone else tried ? seen this issue ? Quote
paulbates Posted Monday at 11:05 AM Posted Monday at 11:05 AM (edited) Need a little more info. When you say cloud, do you mean via the ISY portal, or are you opening ports in your router to access the polisy on your lan? I'm not clear about what cloud access to local machines means. Are you talking about picking the Cloud option in the ISY finder? Edited Monday at 11:28 AM by paulbates Quote

paulbates Posted Monday at 01:35 PM Posted Monday at 01:35 PM Ok... the the AC Cloud option tells the isy finder to download the iox client from an ISY server based on the local iox version in the ISY/eisy/policy; it nicely avoids the old problem of the version mismatch. It does nothing beyond that. I imagine a couple of things network related The internet where either the ISY or the remote session is not good and a connection between the two is spotty. This seems unlikely with this many locations that they'd all be bad unless there is one in common to all of the problems Do you have virus tracking software? Virus software can take a dim view of anything running on java. After experiencing the problem, try temporarily disabling virus checking software if you have it and see if that fixes it. FWIW, I used Realvnc Connect Remote Desktop software when I was building my ISY system. I used iox fully on my local lan from remote locations and it worked great. It was about $3/month for my single ISY setup. I did not have to open ports on my router like the old realvnc; this is a requirement for me. There are other freeware Remote Desktop software that use a reverse proxy through their secure servers so that no ports need to be opened on your router. I found this approach to be less problematic, and I could also access other local software when away, and even use my ipad to do it so I'm not dragging a laptop around. Quote
bgrubb1 Posted Monday at 06:08 PM Author Posted Monday at 06:08 PM its not internet speed and no virus scanner enabled Everything works BUT the screen doesnt refresh unless I close the AC and re-open as an example I did a zwave synchronize on a remote system nothing happened 5 minutes later a box popped up saying interviewing zw49 then nothing 30 minutes later i closed AC and restarted The interview had completed I open event viewer on remote box, it opens and no activity I should note the remote boxes are on lower versions 5.3.4, 5.6.2 Quote
