jukeman Posted Sunday at 08:37 PM Posted Sunday at 08:37 PM (edited) Hello friends, I have a non-critical question, but something that is nagging at me.. (I THINK) Before I updated my eisy to the latest version, in my router I found the IP address and a hostname of "EISY". Now, I see the MAC address and IP address, but there is NO hostname listed. Am I wrong that the previous version included a hostname, and the new release does not? Any clarity would be appreciated, and if there is an EASY way to enter a hostname, that would be nice. My device is connected with a network cable, directly connected to my router; and I have a dedicated DHCP address assigned to the device. It is perfection for me in general, but this one little thing is bugging me. Thanks in advance for any replies... Edited Sunday at 08:38 PM by jukeman clarity Quote
Guy Lavoie Posted Sunday at 09:45 PM Posted Sunday at 09:45 PM (edited) I'm running the latest release (5.9 1) and the hostname shows up fine on my router, a eero 6. But there was an issue with the early release of 5.9 1. If you upgraded it in February and are only bringing this up now, go in Configuration and click on Update Packages, followed by any recommended reboot. Edited Sunday at 11:41 PM by Guy Lavoie Quote
Ristin Posted Thursday at 02:45 PM Posted Thursday at 02:45 PM I don't see the host name on IPv4. I do see the host name with IPv6. I'm running the latest release (updated a few says ago), I have a dedicated IPv4 DHCP address for EISY, and my router is a micro PC running pfSense. Quote
slimypizza Posted yesterday at 01:26 PM Posted yesterday at 01:26 PM EISY shows up as host name on my router (pfSense) but I can edit that field myself so I don’t remember if it came up on its own or if I added it. Quote
