Lock Edits "could not get preference list"

I have lock edits set in UD Mobile on a family iPad. I've replaced some devices and want to update the iPad user experience, which I have done successfully in the past.

However, when I go to global user preferences to unlock, Lock Edits says "False." When I click it I get "Error Could not get preference list." I cannot tell you what app version I have installed because, well, locked. There are no outstanding AppStore app updates.

Suggestions?

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
