"Request Failed" when trying to delete scene

Featured Replies

Hi. I am trying to delete a scene in admin console and am getting "request failed." This was for an open/close sensor which I removed because it wasn't working. Any idea how to remove the scene? Thanks!

Are you trying to remove a device that's within a scene or the entire scene including the device(s) within the scene or is the scene currently empty?

Are your device(s) located in a folder or just in the main device tree,

I was trying to remove a scene that was currently empty. I just added a device to the scene to test to see if that would allow me to delete, but still getting the "request failed" message when trying to delete the scene.  I have some devices in folders.

The name of the scene is "Patio Door Sensor." Yes, I tried to right click and delete, but it says "Request Failed." So strange.  Please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks!

One last thing you can try. Close the admin console and then delete the following files which are located in the windows temporary folder. They will be recreated the next time you open the admin console

One last thing you can try. For each device that was in the scene, do a restore device on each of them, then try deleting the scene.

Scenes operate independently from the ISY, you could remove the ISY and the scenes would still work as the link tables for scenes reside in the scene and the devices that are, or were, in the scene.

I think I was testing something when I initially created the scene. I remember removing the device in the scene completely and then adding it back. I restored the device just now, but still didn't let me delete the scene. The scene is empty now. So strange.
