Insteon 2440M and 2842-222 Motion Sensor Differences

Does anyone know if there are any differences between these two motion sensor models? Is this merely a model number change, or is it more than this? Thanks!

The 2440M is a wireless hand held remote. I don't think its been sold for years.

The 2842-222 is commonly referred to here as an MS-1. Also no longer sold and replaced by the MS-2 ... I forget the product number, its the only one you can buy

 

2420M is the original Motion Sensor made by SkyLinc.

The 2842-222 is the new number given to the original 2420M when they also had different areas of the world.

Correct a BIG mistake!

Yes that is correct. I was incorrect the 2842-222 was the later number for the SkyLinc 2420MS. When they made a few different models for other areas of the world.
