Posted Saturday at 11:24 AM2 days Good Morning. We had 2 power bumps this morning and one of my light switches didn't like it. It is a 6-button Insteon 2334-232. On the first use after the power bump the light associated with the main LOAD from the switch would come on slowly (as if it was ramping up) and go off/on at a dim level every second (or maybe even faster). I pulled out the reset pin and pushed it back in holding it in until the switch beeped (steady on). From that point the switch would beep on every button click (which it didn't do before). I main light associated with the switch would not turn on when I pressed the top button. However, I have an "All On" button on the same 6 - button switch and the light would come on when I pressed the "All On" button (so it is not a disconnected load wire). From the ISY I set all the options associated with the device to "ON" and then to "OFF" and compared the Links Table (which matched). I then did a "restore device" from the ISY. This cleared the "beep" when I clicked the buttons but did not fix the issue with the ON (top button) not turning the light on. Incidentally, the "OFF" button doesn't work either (It is programmed to do run the "All On" scene - setting it to OFF). So, I'm guessing circuitry associated with the MAIN LOAD on the switch got fried by the power bump. All programming/scenes associated with the 4 middle buttons seems to work (FAN, Night Light, All ON, Center Light). Before I replace the switch I thought I'd ask you guys what you thought. Thanks! Also, if you have a second, what is the easiest way to replace a 6-button switch on the ISY with a new one (this will be the first time I will be doing this). ISY994i (running V4.9.0)

Since the load key is misbehaving, this doesn't seem reasonableA more remote possibility is that the wiring / wire nut didn't like what happened and needs to be looked at. You're on your way there because of switch replacement. Again with the key misbehaving it doesn't seem reasonable.

Perhaps your 6-button is now acting as an 8-button. Try pressing to the left of the ON button to see if it controls the main load. If it does, then it's acting as an 8-button keypad and you'll want to change it back to 6-button.Some of the later KeypadLincs included an option to disconnect the main load button from the physical load. Perhaps this option got set during one of the power bumps. My memory is really murky on this, and some searching didn't turn up much other than this: https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/32407-detached-load-control-on-kpl/ Edited 4 hours ago4 hr by kclenden
