Admin console and having to log in with ISY portal

Featured Replies

I have to say that it's hard for me to log in to the admin console with ISY portal info. I have to log into Bitwarden, then copy my user name, enter it in, copy my password (which I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS because it's a bunch of characters in lowercase and uppercase and random characters) then enter it in.

Why was this done?

I prefer using my "in house only" passwords and "admin" instead. So much easier. Can I go back to that?

Yes you can. Just create a manual entry in IoX finder (click on Add) and create a url with the 8443 port number, ex: https://192.168.0.123:8443/desc

That brings up the old admin interface but if you change the "admin user". it reverts back to portal user next time!

(running v6.0.0.)

Did you "Save" the new IoX finder entries? I save them to a file, so that I can load them if needed. After a few times, they seem to stick.

Thanks I'll try. Next question probably answered elsewhere, and I'll look, so where in the the webpage can you program things, I only see where you can look at things - the getting started and help tabs seem to want to sell me stuff.

I understand that the new interface is a work in progress and does not have all the intended capability at this time. I do not believe one can see or modify programs at this point.
