MAC address question

Featured Replies

I'm brand new to Eisy, just got it to replace a ISY 994.

The new Eisy R2 shows the mac address on a sticker on the bottom of the unit as 00 21 b9 02 72 4c. Iox finder shows the mac as 00 21 b9 f2 72 4c. Note that the 4th octet is different than what is shown on the Eisy label. f2 vs 02. What's up with that?

Are you running wired (is there one or two Ethernet ports on it) or wireless? The individual interfaces will have different MAC addresses. Of course it could just be a misprint.

It's on Ethernet, not wifi. Only one Ethernet port, on the back. The 00 21 b9 02 72 4c address does show on Iox finder, and when I login to that on the Portal, I get a completely different account. None of my devices are there and the devices (and scenes) that show on the Admin Console aren't mine. It's like someone else's system.

A ticket seems to be needed. But in the meantime, check your router and see what IP and mac address show. You can then manually enter the IP in iox finder and use port 8080. Http://xxx xxx.xxc.xxx:8080. Assuming a brand new eisy it should login with admin/ admin. If memory serves, the backup restore will not tx your password so you'll want to set that. From there you can restore your 994i backup to it. You should be able to register it to your portal account and tx your portal subscription.
