6 hours ago6 hr The advantage of the 2413U is that it plugs directly into eisy's usb port. The 2413S requires a serial to USB adapter cable.
6 hours ago6 hr My PLM is several feet away from eISY to get it away from RF storm of equipment so I’ve stuck with serial to extend it via twisted pair cat5e cable. Likely just as effective with usb but just haven’t done it.

5 hours ago5 hr Possibly age may make a difference. If the 2423S is an earlier revision than the 2413U. Though recent revisions seem to have the problems resolved.
