Yesterday at 01:27 AM1 day Hi all,I have successfully installed my first I3 Paddles. I have them configured in a 3 Way with a 2477S via a scene defined via the Admin console for my EISY. Both objects are controllers in the scene and I moved both of the nodes for the I3 to the scene.Everything is working fine - both ends of the 3 way turn the lights on and off and I can also dim the lights (I set the I3 up as dimmers). The only issue is that when I use the 2477S to turn on/off the lights - the in device light flashes red a few times after the action has been performed.I cannot find anything wrong with the setup in the Admin Console.Does anyone have any thoughts about how I can trouble shoot this red flashing a few times after using the switch? Thanks!
Yesterday at 10:21 AM1 day The blinking can mean it can't contact old invalid links, either other devices or the PLM.If you used the i3s to replace other Insteon switches, my guess is its on or both of the older ones. Things to try:In iox, try right-clicking and Restore DeviceIf that doesn't work, try deleting the old switches from the eisyIf they're still in iox but you uninstalled them this could explain itIf this still didn't get it, Restore Device again after deletingYou can add them back later for a future project
Yesterday at 10:49 AM1 day I can also mean that there is something interfering with communication between valid linked devices. Hopefully, the advice from @paulbates will solve your problem. Troubleshooting communication problems is more trial-and-error, in my experience.

Could I ask some follow up as I am not sure where to go based upon your potential solutions? You mentioned "in iox try right clicking and restore device" - which device specifically? Are you suggesting to do this on the 2477S exhibiting the issue? When you say delete the old switches - I assume you mean the ones that I replaced with the I3 Paddles. - I thought I had done this - I was in iox and right clicked the devices when I removed them and used the "delete" option - is there something else I should do?Then you mention "restore device after deleting" if a device is deleted in iox - how can I "restore device"? Apologies for the questions - I am by no means an expert in all of this - I am good with adding/deleting devices and creating scenes - but more than that I need simplistic instructions....... Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks!

Nothing else to do for this one if the switches don't appear in your device/network view41 minutes ago, SMonk said:Then you mention "restore device after deleting" if a device is deleted in iox - how can I "restore device"?I meant if the devices were still there and you could delete them, do that, it would have cleared them from the iox Insteon db.. and restoring should have removed those links from the device that is exhibiting the problem.First: Try a restore device on the problematic switch.Second: If that doesn't do it, the next steps are more technicalIn iox, go to Tools/Diagnostics/Event viewerAt the bottom of the window, set it for the most detailed tracking - highest levelGo turn on the problem switch and the event viewer will capture what's going onPost the related Event Viewer entries back hereI'm not the best at deciphering those, but there are members here who are and can hopefully join the discussion to help keep it moving Edited yesterday at 01:19 PM1 day by paulbates

Try removing the Flags node from the scene.
