Yesterday at 12:37 AM1 day Hey Guys , has anyone tried to install this z-wave garage door opener. Eisy syncs with it (no problem), but after connecting it the console just shows a blank screen (i.e., not any buttons to open-shut, etc). I've tried the usual exclude/resets, etc, but i can't get anywhere with this thing. I contracted the company, and they said "oh you need to install the door position sensor on the garage door and cycle the sytstem a couple of times. Tried that - nothing. Thanks for any input! KP
10 hours ago10 hr Hah, I have one of these...in it's box. Just one of my many experimental toys that I just couldn't resist for $20 on marketplace 😄So I just dragged it out and thought I'd try it again. I do remember getting it working when I first got it, though I've automated my garage door using an Insteon- IOLinc and an open close sensor. My test setup is a Polisy running 6.0.5 and with a ZMatter dongle. I initially got it to pair but was getting the same thing you were: a single generic device node with no controls. The documentation for it shows that it really prefers S2 security, so I excluded it and then added it back using Zwave secure mode on. The pop up box then asked my if I wanted S0 or S2 secure mode, both boxes were checked. I unchecked the S0 box, and entered the PIN code that's underlined on the small label underneath the Go Control unit, the label with a QR code on it. Just enter the 5 digits that are underlined. It then asks you to confirm the code (just click on verify). Then the device got added, creating 4 device nodes. The main node shows the controls and status, as shown below (device ZY006). It seems to work fine. I simulate the garage door position by holding the tilt sensor and the status updates correctly. If you're using the Zooz zwave stick (which doesn't support S2 security) then you might not be able to get it working. The device seems to demand S2. Edited 10 hours ago10 hr by Guy Lavoie
