Feature Request: User Accounts & Access Restrictions

Featured Replies

Hi,

Perhaps this is already possible but if it is, I've never been able to figure it out...

I'd like the ability to create accounts for other users in my house. Further, I'd like to be able to restrict all the way to the device command level what they can see and what they can do. For example, I'd like to give my son access to the system but I don't want him messing with thermostats. It would be fine if he can't see them at all, though it would be better if he could see them ("read" access" so he could see how the thermostat was currently set) but not have the ability to change anything. Or maybe I want to let him change the set point but not the mode - you get the idea.

Any thoughts to create something like this? I've seen other somewhat-similar questions related to ISY Portal logins, etc. but the key here is not just a separate login, but the ability to control access and visibility.

NOTE: this request is specific to eISY UI (that is probably obvious since the Java Admin Console is going away thankfully but I thought'd I'd "say it out loud").

Thanks,
Greg
