jkraus
Here, in Saratoga, CA they are starting to install smart electric and water meters. In addition to some complaints about inaccuracy, there are many complaints about interference in older cordless phones and baby monitor devices. I suspect this is because the communication path back to PG&E is in the 800MHz - 900MHz frequency. Has anybody heard of any interference with Insteon RF which is in the 902-924MHz range. I certainly hope not as my install is scheduled for Aug 31!
brad77
I'm in San Diego and have a smart meter installed. I use two access points and haven't noticed any reduced reliability.
TJF1960
And I am in Wheatland, Ca and had both gas and electric smart meters installed back in April and have not noticed any problems with RF either. And, one of my dual band lamplincs is 3 feet above the electric meter. Tim
