Sunday at 05:42 AM5 days Please forgive my ignorance here. In searching the forums, I cannot seem to find current information on migrating PG3 to the eisy UI. Not sure I have paid any attention to this until I looked. I keep snooping around the new UI and find stuff that's in plain view. I Googled the topic I didn't find a wiki on it and looked through the eisy UI wiki and found no answer there. I tried.. but it might be there in front of my face.SO... I see that I can migrate my only PG3 plugin, Notification (production) to the eisy Plugin tab. Why? Or Do I have too?And what does it do? (Seems redundant?)What shows up? Is it sort of like the PG3 Dashboard? If this is needed to be done or mandatory, shouldn't an update have taken care of this?Just trying to learn more about all of the stuff in the UI. It is looking pretty darn good and so far for me, I can learn it and like it. Change is sometimes hard. Thanks for any help.John Edited Sunday at 05:43 AM5 days by johnjces
Sunday at 12:45 PM4 days Great questions! Why? To simplify eisy and provide a better experience, PG3’s capabilities have been integrated into eisy-ui natively.Or Do I have too?You don’t have to now, but eventually yes. PG3 is going away. And what does it do? (Seems redundant?)It is very similar to PG3, it is indeed redundant at this time. What shows up? A dashboard similar to PG3. Essentially the same capabilities. Is it sort of like the PG3 Dashboard? YesIf this is needed to be done or mandatory, shouldn't an update have taken care of this?Plugins are developed by third-party developers (most of them). UDI do not support the plugins and cannot guarantee that they will work. Although every efforts have been made to make this backward compatible with PG3, it is possible a plugin may work in PG3 and not eisy-ui. Therefore, we had to provide both of them side-by-side and allow to migrate easily, and migrate back if it does not work.
