bsobel Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Ok, I'm stumped and need some suggestions. I have a switchlinc in my master bedroom that is acting as a controller to a collection of other lights this was originally the desired behaviour. I added a (seperate) keypadlink so I decided to repurpose this switch to just control two table lamps. The problem is, I can not seem to get it to 'forget' the scene. The scene has been deleted in ISY (its a 99i). If I factory reset the switch it does not control any of the other devices, but as soon as I restore the device in ISY (which shows it not currently lnked to anything) it starts controlling the lights again. I factory reset one of the switchlinc's it is controlling. It also stopped acting like a member of this scene, but as soon as I restore the device in ISY (so it's in it's normal scene's) it starts responding to the above switch again. I'm stumped, ISY shows no obvious links and factory reset it clearly doing something until ISY reprogramms the switch. What have I forgotten or missed? Thanks, Bill

oberkc Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 When you factory reset the switch, did you remove it completely from the ISY? If not, this is what I would try. After the factory reset, read it to the ISY. Hopefully, it will continue to not control anything.

After readding the behaviour came back....
Sub-Routine Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Apparently the Responders still have links to the Controller. Even if the controller does not have links to the responders as long as it sends a group broadcast the responders will respond. Create a new scene with the controller and responders. Then Delete that scene. How to Remove a link not recognized by ISY This is probably because you selected Keep Existing Links when you added the devices. Rand
