rgn2000
I have been searching all over for help on how to set up email or texting and I cannot find anything. Right now I am attempting to set up email. I have unchecked "use default" I have SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com SMTP Port: 587 User ID: xxxx@gmail.com (my email) password: my password From: No idea what to put here Timeout (ms) 1,000 and TLS is checked Below there is an area called Groups which is completely blank. There was something there I think called migrate, but it is no longer there. Am I supposed to do something with this area? When I hit TEST I get "Mail Server Failure" "To Timed Out" Also how in the hell do you set up texting?? Other relevant info is that I was never able to set up "Enable Internet Access" so I did it manually. I set up my IP address with a permanent reservation, I have my IP port forwarded to 443 and I am able to access my isy from the outside. Thanks for any help. I apologize, but I searched this forum and the wiki and I just can't find anything to help and I am fairly new to ISY99. Link to comment
TomW
I have the same SMTP Settings for gmail that you have, so that looks okay. You need to create atleast one group, using the "Add" button. It will specify who to send email to. Make sure to "Save" your entries. Hope this helps. /Tom Link to comment

I don't know how I missed it in the wiki before. Actually I changed it back to default and that seems to work. Link to comment
rgn2000
OK, I have another question. When programming a notification for "content" there is only a choice for "default." Is there supposed to be something else you can add to your notifications as far as content goes? Link to comment
