Is there a way to raise and lower the temperature of the thermostat and control it with the remotelinc? I can't seem to figure out that functionality in the console. Can it be done with programs?

Sure, simply create a scene with the RL button as controller and the thermostat adapter as responder. On will trigger the scene, bright will adjust the temp up a degree and dim will adjust down.
