Mike Ippolito Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Trying to see if I have this setup right or I'm missing something: I have a keypadlinc controlling my dining room light. On the opposite wall I have a switchlinc to control it also. The load is on the keypadlinc. I setup a scene in the 99i for the dining light and added both switches. I'm expecting the switchlinc to update it's led status based on the on/off status of the dining room light when controlled by the keypadlinc but it is not. When I control the light (scene) with the 99i the led correctly shows in the on position - but not when I use the keypadlinc. Is this normal behavior? Shouldn't the switchlinc update itself?
LeeG Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 mikeiud The ISY Scene should have the SwitchLinc and the KeypadLinc button as Controllers of the Scene. This definition will result in the devices being cross-linked and both will reflect status. Sounds like one of the devices was added as a Controller and the other added as a Responder. When a device is a Controller of a Scene it is assumed to also be a Responder if the device has responder capability. Lee
