andrew77
I'm hoping somebody has had some experience with this one. I have a room of lights downstairs that flickers when I press any Insteon in the house. It flickered a little when I had a regular dimmer on it when I pressed Insteon kpls swls etc... but I chalked it up to a cheap dimmer. I figured it would go away with the swl (latest model) but it's still there. The room of ten lights is the only thing on the breaker. I have the same lights all through the basement hooked up to Insteon and no other issues. It also flickers when I'm programming with the Console. I have an electrician who can come and check it out but I wanted to ask on the forum first. Drew

LeeG
What type of load is being used? Unlikely simple incandescent bulbs. CFLs, LEDs, etc?
oberkc
To be sure that I am clear: You have a circuit with ten lights only. The ten lights were all controlled by a simple "regular, cheap" dimmer. The ten lights are now controlled by an insteon switchlinc. In both cases, the ten lights all flickered in response to any other insteon devices? I have experienced some of the fancy Lutron switches react to insteon signals, but not simple "cheap" dimmer switches. I can only think that there is a loose wire somewhere. andrew77
I brought a friend over who is a licensed electrician. I looked at the system and said it didn't make sense either. No loose wires or issues with anything he could find. I replaced it with another SWL and it doesn't seem to do it. The real test will be when I put that same SWL in another room to see if it flickers. Then I'll know its the SWL. Drew
polexian
I had the same problem localized to one room. When i turned on the ceiling fan the light would flick on then off. The switch would react though. It quit doing it after a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
andrew77
Encouraging. Thanks. I hope the SWL is fine. I'm moving it to another room to see. Drew
