jellis Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Hi Guys, I have been using the EZFlora with my ISY for a little while now. However I must say with not the greatest results. Everything was working fine up until I replaced the PLC because of constantly having to reset the PLC. I restored to the PLC but and everything worked fine except for the EZFlora. I deleted the device and tried to link but no luck. I then reverted back to the old PLC to see if it was the new PLC but then could not get it to link with that one either. So bottom line is I am not able to link up to the EZFlora anymore. The light on the EZFlora is on and seems to be functioning correctly. I followed some forum instructions and turned on the Device Communication Events while I tried to manually link the device. I have attached the file dump and would appreciate your help. My lawn sprinklers are running on 9-volt batteries at the moment. Thanks! LeeG Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 According to the Event log the EZFlora is not responding to any commands. The attempt to read the first link record fails to get any response from the device. Note the 9 seconds between command attempts. This indicates no response from device. Plug the EZFlora into the same circuit as the PLM and try the add again. It is not necessary to have any Zones connected for the add to function. Suggest doing a factory reset of the EZFlora before doing the next add. jellis Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 Ok, that last dump was completed with no zones connected and the EZFlora is in the same room and circuit as the Smarthome PLM ( I called it PLC by mistake before). I did a factory reset and tried again but still nothing. Here is the dump again. It seems to be doing the same thing. LeeG Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Same situation. Is this a new EZFlora or one that has been updated with the latest firmware and late internal PLM. The EZFlora firmware must be at v.28 with PLM firmware at v.92 for the device add to function on and after 2.8.x.
jellis Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 Well, I have been trying to connect to the EZFlora using the PLM to determine what the firmware is. I have not been able to though since I do not have a DB9 connection on my laptop. I have two PLM's to use and they are both at version 98. This whole issue started when I tried to install the new PLM. Now I am stuck! I am talking with tech support with Simple Home Net trying to figure this out, but nothing yet.
