OK to plug PLM into a LampLinc?

I'd like to move PLM to a different location. Unfortunately a LampLinc is occupying the outlet in this location. Is it OK to plug the PLM into the "always on" outlet located on the LampLinc?

Some have with no ill affects. While I am of the opinion you should adhere to the vendors stated caution against doing so.

If you touch the PLM you will note the relative amount of heat given off by this device. This, besides the ISY is the heart of the system.

Teken . . .

I have a PLM plugged into a Lamplinc, plugged into a Filterlinc. Been that way for a couple of years without any issues.

The Filterlinc feeds my computer, the Lamplinc has a very light load of only a window candle.

I have my PLM also plugged into a 10 Amp FilterLinc. The FilterLinc doesn't generate any heat so the combination doesn't get much hotter than if it was not in the FilterLinc.

Is the PLM a 2412S or 2413S? The older 2412S units had a linear power supply in them with a power transformer that generated heat and felt like it was warmer than my newer 2413S PLM.

Now plugging a PLM into a LampLinc may get both hotter than normal. As both generate heat.

I have two old v1.3 ApplianceLincs plugged in to each other and they get very warm. Only ones since I started to use Insteon that have failed at one time or another.

Mine is the old 2412s.

However, like I said the Lamplinc which is sandwiched in, has an extremely light load.
