RemoteLinc Retained Old Link

Greetings!

I am relatively new to the world of Insteon and just installed my ISY-99i/IR a few weeks ago. So far the ISY is great, but I just have one problem I can't figure out. One of the first things I set up was a RemoteLinc to control a light in our living room. I did this by creating a scene in the ISY with the Scene A button and the OutletLinc.

This past weekend, I installed some SwitchLincs in our master bedroom and wanted to use the RemoteLinc there instead. So I deleted the scene that I had created with the RemoteLink Scene A button and the OutletLinc. The program showed that it was removing links.

I then created a scene with the Scene A button and a light in our bedroom. This scene works as intended.

The problem is that the RemoteLinc Scene A on button still turns on the original light in our living room. The light does not, however, turn off with the Scene A off button.

In the ISY program, the light in our living room shows no relationships under membership. The RemoteLinc scene A shows a membership only with the light in our bedroom.

It looks like everything is correct in the program, but the button still turns on the light in the living room. How can I make this stop so that the button only controls the light in the bedroom?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Matt

There was a link record left behind when the Scene was deleted. Most likely the RemoteLinc since it had to be put into linking mode by pressing the Dim/Bright buttons.

You can do a Show Device Links Table for the RemoteLinc and the OutletLinc. That should show which has the erroneous link record. Factory reset the device with the erroneous link and then do a Restore Device to have the ISY restore the link records that should be in the particular device.
