Joe B Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I have a Switchlinc dimmer and a Switchlinc relay together in a double gang box controlling a ceiling fan and light. I recently purchased a Remotelinc2 8 button. I set up scenes for all the buttons and they all work fine except for the one controlling the Switchlinc relay. When I press that one, the fan comes on, but so does the light on the fan controlled by the dimmer. The dimmer for the lght is not in the scene. I checked the event logs and I do not see the address for the dimmer being sent anywhere, yet the light comes on and turns off when I press the button on the Remotelinc2 along with the fan on the relay. I have the same devices on an 8 button KPL and they work as expected. I can control both device fine from the ISY. Here is the event log where I turned the fan on and off: (Remotelinc2 is 1C.33.08, Switchlinc relay is 1B.88.5C, dimmer is 1A.B7.49, PLM is 12.9F.FA) Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 00.00.01 C7 11 00 LTONRR (00) Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [standard-Group][1C.33.08-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [ 1C 33 8 1] DON 0 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [ 1B 88 5C 1] ST 255 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [ 1C 33 8 1] ST 255 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 00.00.01 C7 11 00 LTONRR (00) Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [standard-Group][1C.33.08-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 00.00.01 C7 11 00 LTONRR (00): Process Message: Ignored Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:34 AM : [standard-Group][1C.33.08-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:35 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 12.9F.FA 41 11 01 LTONRR (01) Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:35 AM : [standard-Cleanup][1C.33.08-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=1, Hops Left=0 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:35 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 12.9F.FA 41 11 01 LTONRR (01): Process Message: Ignored Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:35 AM : [standard-Cleanup][1C.33.08-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=1, Hops Left=0 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:47 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 00.00.01 C7 13 00 LTOFFRR(00) Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:47 AM : [standard-Group][1C.33.08-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:47 AM : [ 1C 33 8 1] DOF 0 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:47 AM : [ 1B 88 5C 1] ST 0 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:47 AM : [ 1C 33 8 1] ST 0 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 00.00.01 C7 13 00 LTOFFRR(00) Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [standard-Group][1C.33.08-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 00.00.01 C7 13 00 LTOFFRR(00): Process Message: Ignored Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [standard-Group][1C.33.08-->Group=1] Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 12.9F.FA 42 13 01 LTOFFRR(01) Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [standard-Cleanup][1C.33.08-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=2, Hops Left=0 Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.33.08 12.9F.FA 42 13 01 LTOFFRR(01): Process Message: Ignored Wed 02/29/2012 09:59:48 AM : [standard-Cleanup][1C.33.08-->ISY/PLM Group=1] Max Hops=2, Hops Left=0 Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. fitzpatri8 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 The easiest fix: add the unwanted light to the scene, let the ISY write the changes, then delete the light from the scene. (I suspect somewhere along the line a manual link was added or a scene didn't get completely erased. It isn't completely clear to me what causes this mixup, but the issues have been sufficiently rare enough that I haven't tried to track down the precise order of events involved. The adding/deleting from the scene isn't as thorough a fix as using ISY's Restore Device feature to re-write the entire link database on the dimmer, but it is effective and a bit quicker.)
Joe B Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 fitzpatri8, that did the trick! Thanks!
