LED Brightness not being reported on ISY-99i

Hello all.

I have several 2476S switches and two 2476D dimmers. Before I updated my firmware to 3.1.17, I could view the LED Brightness levels on each device. Now they all report as 0 regardless of what the actual value is that they are set to. How do I troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks!

Are you asking about the status LED brightness level or the On Level of the load being controlled by those devices.

If the load On Level is not being reported to the ISY for some of the devices (but not all) then something has happened to the link records either in the devices themselves or the ISY PLM. This assumes the problem is not caused by a communication problem with the circuit(s) the devices are on. If the devices can be reliably turned On and Off through the Admin Console then it is likely not a communications problem.

Try a Restore Device on one of the switches. If that does not resolve the problem a Restore Modem (PLM) will restore the PLM link database.

As stated, LED Brightness, not the On Level. Is the LED Brightness even something you can query from the device? It's starting to look like it is stored locally on the ISY and all the values were lost after the firmware upgrade. Might be more of a problem with the firmware upgrade process not carrying these values forward.

Sorry I did not understand initially. The LED Brightness does not come back on a Query. I got to 3.1.17 through the evolution of Beta releases rather than from 2.8.16. Can't say I have every paid attention to the LED Brightness numbers across an ISY update. I just tested a reboot and the values remain across a restart. Does sound like the values were not preserved across firmware update. I’ll have to watch what happens on the next firmware update.
