DEGoodrich
Does any one know if this will interfere with x-10 or insteon? The survailance system will be be hitting the market in a couple of months! I have been trying to find something that will work for me! http://www.wilife.com/About/Technologies.aspx http://www.wilife.com/Products/Default.aspx They use a USB PLM......not the same, right? I think this is based on old technology.. I used to have Seimens Powerline networking in my house Many years ago! I don't know why they killed it. I is much more reliable, faster, and secure than wireless. BTW: I looked it up. It is the exact thing Seimens Was using in 2002. (They called it speed stream)(14Mbps) Well I still have all that stuff. Now I found a use for it! ANSWER: Insteon = 131.65 KHz HomePlug = 4.5- to 21-MHz
Sub-Routine
The survailance system will be be hitting the market in a couple of months! I don't know what you are referring to in that statement. I have had WiLife cameras installed for about six months. No effect on Insteon. They are fussy about the outlets used and I could not find a coupler. A few extension cords were needed. The system has been very reliable. When the cat gets lonely he moves into camera view, wags his tail, and we get an email Rand
DEGoodrich
Thanks for the reply. I am sorry that I was not specific on the system I was refeing to. It is being Marketed with the Logitech name and will be sold in retail store like Target, Best Buy, Sharper image, Tiger Direct, etc. I understand it is mady by WiLife. I am glad to hear it is working for you! Now I know that this is an option for me!
Sub-Routine
AFAIK LukWerks built the cameras and modem, WiLife apparently made the software and now Logitech has bought the package. Rand
