How to Linc a Insteon "RemoteLinc" to ISY99

I had to replace batteries in my RemoteLinc and ended up deleting the device from my available devices in the ISY. Does anyone know how to re-enroll or Link the RemoteLinc to my IsY99. I tried going to Link Management and then selected Link a RemoteLinc. When the window When the add new device window appeared I then put in the address: 14.1D.3D and I called it RemoteLinc. It worked for a few minutes and then stopped but did not add my RemoteLinc. I even tried holding the A button down for 10 seconds for it to start blinking and then tried it again and again it did not add my RemoteLinc.

I read the RemoteLinc's owners manual and it just talked about linking a particular button to a LampLinc or other device locally but not how to enroll it in the ISY99. Maybe there is another button on the LampLinc that i need to hold while tring to Link it in the ISY admin console.

Thanks for your help on this.

Use New INSTEON Device, enter Insteon address of RemoteLinc and Name of your choice. Leave Device Type set to Auto Discover.

Press Dim/Bright buttons together until RemoteLinc LED blinks continuously. Click Ok on New INSTEON Device popup.

Be sure RemoteLinc is in good RF range of a Dual Band device.

Does the old "Silver" RemoteLinc not work with a 994 running the latest FW? I tried the above directions and I get a failure saying "can not determine Insteon Engine".

Thanks

Here is the beginning of the event trace of adding the Silver RemoteLinc. Likely the problem will be with the first command in the trace. Compare your event trace to this one.

Thanks, I got it to finally link. The problem was not using the Link pull down.

Now another question (kind of off topic)... I made a scene, two lights in the scene along with a KPL button and a RL button. I went into the scene and set the "ON" levels and ramp rates. When I touch either the RL or KPL buttons, the scene turns the two lights on instantly and 100%? How do I set the scene attributes?

Each Controller has a unique set of Responder values. If the Scene name was selected the Responder values that were set are associated with the PLM (when the Scene is used in a Program or from Admin Console). Select the KeypadLinc button node name below the Scene name (should be a Controller in Red) and set those Responder values. Then select the RL button node name below the Scene name (should also be a Controller in Red) and set those Responder values.
