aughtago Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I just ordered the ISY-994i to replace my old setup using smarthome manager. I realize the unit contains the web interface, however the user manual references a Java applet that can be installed on the desktop. While I wait for delivery of the ISY, I would like to begin to familiarize myself with the interface and configure the setup. My Question: Is this possible to install the applet on my desktop and begin setup, or is it futile due to not being able to "see" the devices in my system?
LeeG Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 The configuration information is stored in the ISY so nothing can be configured until the ISY is available. The following URL will pull the Admin Console application from the UDI web site but since it cannot locate an ISY UUID not sure what will actually display. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.3/admin.jnlp
aughtago Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 Thanks, I tried it and it came up with an error because it could not find the ISY. Guess I'll have to wait till it arrives.
LeeG Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 The Java cache should be cleared before using the new ISY. The URL I posted is for the latest Beta. The ISY will have the latest Official release (probably 3.2.6) which will be a few images before the 3.3.3 Beta.
aughtago Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 I found it, cleared it. Thanks again, I would not have known to do that.
