EZIO2x4: Cannot determin link table address

I'm seeing the same thing but seem to be having a series of problems.

 

Added the device normally the first time, it seems to be giving me the 'cannot determine link table address' after using the configuration tool to change the settings. I'm seeing input 2 bounce on/off/on/off (its not one of the analog ones) so I'm wondering if this is from the same bad batch as the OP? Also from the thread even if the analog inputs are unused (and disabled in the config), should they both be jumpered to ground?

The opto-isolated Input 1 and 2 will not cycle on its own. Would need to know how/what was changed with the configuration tool (SHN Utility Suite?). I suspect that the Group number for Input 3 or 4 was inadvertently changed so it looks like Input 2 is cycling when it is actually Input 3 or 4.

 

Inputs 3 and 4 must be locked to GND if pullup resisters have not been installed.

 

Analog Inputs 3 & 4 CANNOT be disabled. The mode they operate in, either Digital or Analog, can be changed but should not be changed as the ISY cannot process either Input 3 or 4 in Analog Mode.

 

Finally, this EZIO2X4 cannot be used with the ISY. The device memory is not operating as it must. It looks like one of the devices that has had the internal I2CS PLM flashed to a non-I2CS firmware which results in the memory response being impossible for a non-I2CS device. It has to go back to wherever it was obtained.

As a final test I moved the unit closer to the PLM (it was installed in a mechanical gate opener outside), tied the two inputs to ground as you said, and it programmed fine and seems to be responding properly (now reinstalled in said gate opener). I'm guessing some transmission error gave the effect of bad memory or did you see something else on the trace that concerned you?

The trace shows unique values were stored (Poked) into 0FFF, 1FFF, and 3FFF. Then those bytes were read back (Peeked). None of the values returned matched the data stored.

 

If the EZIO2X4 Input state changes are correctly displayed by the Admin Console, whatever the issue was before no longer exists.
