Hi,

two Qs:

1) is it possible for us to update the firmware?

(i am sure it is, 'no', but i figure it couldnt hurt to ask...)

2) is v.93 supposed to work with respond to synchronize clock command?

TIA

1) No the firmware in Insteon Devices is not field upgradeable and Smarthome/Smartlabs does not offer such a service, but we continue to ask.

Most of the modules do have the five pin programming pads or headers in them.

not sure what this means:

Most of the modules do have the five pin programming pads or headers in them.

also, does v.93 accept clock sync commands?

thanks!

The five pin programming connections. Means that they can be reflashed with the proper programmer and source files.

Smartlabs and Smarthome just don't offer that option.

I don't have any of the thermostats so can't answer that part of the question.

SmartLabs does not release information as to function at the various firmware levels. I don't think anyone has gotten the clock update to work on anything except the 2441ZTH (which I can confirm works) and maybe the 2441TH (which I have not tried yet).

If the clock is set the firmware supports it. That is how you know. No has reported successfully setting the clock programmatically on any of the Venstar thermostats.
