New problem with MorningLinc

I have the MorningLinc controller which has been working fine up until the past few weeks. I can't communicate with the device. I've tried power cycling the ISY and the modem. I've tried deleting the MorningLinc and relinking it. I've even tried replacing the MorningLinc with a brand new spare and I still get the "Cannot communicate with the device" error when trying to link (ending in the red exclaimation). This is Rev 1.2. It's all very weird since it's worked perfectly up till now.

Any ideas?

I've tried moving it as you suggested. No luck but I do remember changing one possibly important thing recently. Because I was getting an error message occasionally on my Mobilinc app, I generated and installed a new self signed SSL certificate. Perhaps I caused the problem?

I would not expect that this certificate would affect communication between the ISY and morninlinc..only ability to remotely log into your ISY. This would be best if others can confirm.

One last shot that I can think of...what other electronic devices are plugged into the same outlet and circuit with your PLM? Lots of other computer stuff? UPS? Surge suppressor?

Thanks everyone, it's working again. I tried plugging the MorningLinc directly into the modem. I still don't understand why this issue would crop up suddenly but as long as it continues to work, and there's no problem with plugging directly into the modem, problem solved!

Thanks so much! This forum has helped me so much over the years.

Plugging into the PLM (or PLM plug point) was diagnostic. Not meant to be a permanent solution. It means the MorningLinc is working and there a comm problem at its original location.

If that's true then I can't figure out what might have happened. It was working fine for at least a year. Can't I just leave it plugged into the PLM?
