Exten Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Here's the gig...... My iphone....it's the TV/Cablebox remote. It has only about 6 buttons on the remote that match the 6 things I usually do. If I need full functionality I swipe over the remote. The remote flips over and shows all 621,239 buttons...just like your average remote. (grins...)..... So what is the best remote program for an iphone? I'd consider an android device if it has built-in IR and an easy to setup program that doesn't have a bazillion buttons on the remote that I never need. What are the best options? I have roomie and it's wonderful but still too many buttons.
Vyrolan Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 This is pretty off-topic for these forums, but along the same lines as Roomie, there's iRule. It's super customizable, but it does take a commitment to learn it and set it up properly. Once you have it working though, it can do just about anything. In my house, we have iRule control over all the A/V system and A/V distribution and the lights/fans/etc via Insteon (using ISY Rest interface).
