dwbourn Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Hi, I am setting up some programs to arm and disarm my Elk M1 remotely through MobiLinc. Is it as easy as setting up programs and then making my programs favorites so I can run them easily through MobiLinc? I was trying to do this and activate a "Security Scene" but it appears you need a controller in a scene to activate it as I couldn't get a program to just turn on a scene that showed status of motion detectors, entry points, etc. Does anyone have any thoughts on the best way to do this through MobiLinc? On a different but related note, any word on the Elk module for MobiLinc? Thanks! --David
InsteonNut Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Hi David, This is Wes from MobiLinc. Yes, the current recommend solution is to create and Arm and Disarm program you can set as a MobiLinc favorite. When we get back from the holiday break we will be focusing on completing our ISY/ELK plug-in for MobiLinc. Wes
dwbourn Posted December 22, 2012 Author Posted December 22, 2012 Sounds great. I guess I can make two sets of programs. An arm and disarm and then a status for armed/disarmed that way I can tell it is armed. Thanks so much! --David
morreale Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I hate to resurrect this old thread but is this still the only method available to control the Elk M1 via Mobilinc? I have a disarm & arm program working but not sure how to create a status program. was a plugin ever created as discussed above?
InsteonNut Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Hi morreale, MobiLinc (iOS) has an optional plug-in that enabled ELK control via the ISY. http://mobilinc.com/features/plugins/ Wes
bipto Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Gee golly - MobiLinc / Elk integration..? What a great feature! Sure wish Android users could do that... So why can't Android users do that again..?
dwbourn Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 I was able to make a status indicator by mapping a button on a 6 button keypad that lights up when the system is on. I have that button as a favorite so it shows when the alarm is armed. It will be nice once the Elk feature is implemented for Android. --dwb
