  1. Hi, I am trying to read as much as I can about the new eisy hardware. (I am currently using a ISY994/IR Pro ZW. If I read correctly the eisy does no support incoming IR. Can I assume it can still do outgoing IR via Global Cache via Network settings. This is what I do now on the ISY994. I have a Global Cache IR unit in every room. I like others use a Harmony Hub for entertainment devices. My led light systems are mostly controlled via Amazon Alexa with some routines. Hopefully that stuff can be moved to the new EISY. I received the new EISY prior to xmas but have yet to open in. I ordered some other modules and those are still in the box. But since reading about the lack of IR support this is of concern to me. Can I assume the lack of IR support is due to these supplies issues. If supply issues were not something that affected all manufacturer then maybe it would have been included? So is there a possibility that IR support could be added down the road if these parts became available. I should say I still am not sure how backyard this is going to affect my current setup and if I could do a workaround. As I said before because of healthcare issues the time I can devote to this upgrade is going to be limited. I'm probably going to ask for support. Thanks! Rob Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  2. Hi, I put out this request about two years ago. But Covid hit. And I had health issues not related to Covid. So I am feeling tons better now that I started Dialysis. I also have 'Back-Issues' which prevent me from standing too long before the pain is unbearable. But I still need some In-Home support. I am looking for someone to come to my home and fix what I broke when moving to a new ISY controller when I upgraded from 4.x to 5.x I have all the programs but some are no longer functioning. I don't have the enough gumption to fix it this time. Most of these issues are pretty minor I'm sure. Example: I need to switch from wireless Motion Sensors to the newer USB powered Motion Sensors. (I have a box of these waiting to replace the older ones) So if anyone is in the NYC area and is interested in helping me (and I would be more than willing to pay). I actually live in Astoria Queens. Between the Tri-Boro (aka RFK) Bridge and the 59th Street (aka Ed Koch) Bridge on 21st Street. I figure two trips. Maybe just one. First trip is to show you exactly what I need. Which would take less than an hour. The second to perform the work. Which should take less than 4 hours unless you run into a trouble. Name a reasonable price. Thank you! Rob PS I would be even willing to ugrade to the new Poly system. If that is something interesting to you let me know so I can have the new box ordered and at my home before you arrive.
  3. Hi, I'm so glad I finally found this thread, I've been asking around. I just purchased and received my Global Cache iTach WF2IR unit. I managed to get it setup on my network and working, I think. I also am testing using the iTach using Android software AnyMote. AnyMote has the ability to use the iTach WF2IR device. In my case I want at least (to start with) to control my Air Conditioner with a simple Power Toggle IR command. I added the iTach to my AnyMote software and luckily it already had in its database my Frigidaire AC. I setup a PWR Toggle command. I then sent the IR command and the proper port actually flashed as the command was sent, so communication is working correctly. My only failure was that I never plugged in the Blaster IR cable into the iTach. So of course, without it plugged in the AC was never going to turn on or off. I will test that very soon. I should say that the AnyMote's setup for adding the iTach asked for the IP address and the Port to use, since I would be using the Blaster function it needs to be set to port 3. It also allowed me to enter the logon name and password. When I put the iTach on my network I also added a logon name and password to get at least some security on it. I read all the instructions on page one of this thread and will try to following it hopefully getting good results. I got the iTach so the ISY would be able to control it or send those IR commands. I read that someone here got their Samsung TV to turn on/off. I too own a Samsung TV. is it possible that someone who has it working to EXPORT their setup so I might try to IMPORT to make it easier to get it going? Maybe those setup are posted here already? Finally, I have the ISY Helper Module and I think in purchasing that it gives me automatically the Networking Module features. Is that true or do I still need to purchase the Network Modules to get this to work? Thank you so much! Rob
