Can a 6 button Keypad Dimmer be changed to an 8 button Keypad Dimmer? Or, can ONLY a KeypadLInk (switch, no dimmer) undergo the 6/8 button transformation? I know an 8 button Keypad dimmer is sold. But, if I can convert an existing 6 button dimmer it would be easier. Thanks. Bob S.

Is there a way or a better way to do this with 1 program? It works but it also triggers on time events as false due to the motion not being triggered but the time changed. motion sensor on a fan/light on an fanlinc day- motion triggers fan only. night - motion triggers light and fan. If 1.5 hr from sunset to sunrise next day. and control motion sensor is on. then set outside fan on set outside lights on wait 5 min set outside fan off set outside lights off Else set outside fan on wait 5 min set outside fan off

My Admin Console times out after a relatively brief period of inactivity and there is no indication this has occurred. That is, you can be thinking you are doing work in the console only to find that none of your work was actually processed. Ultimately, I get the password window and when I enter my credentials all is well again. Is there a setting to extend the time before a timeout? I would prefer the Admin Console remain open and active until I make a decision to close it.

Someone gave me a used I/O Linc model 2450. The relay seems to work - when I press the set button there is an audible click and the white LED by the set button lights up. Using a multimeter I can see that NO and NC have continuity with COM depending on if the white LED is lit or not. However, I can't seem to get the Sense LED to light. I shorted the GND & S terminals with a jumper wire, but the green Sense LED will not illuminate. I linked it with my ISY and it the Sensor says "off" no matter if I have the terminals shorted or not. Is this a common problem/failure? Any ideas or just throw it in the trash?

I have two sets of 3-way Switchlincs 2477D fairly new that behave exactly the same way but not quite correctly. I linked them before I got my ISY994i and after I installed the ISY I reset them, removed the links and relinked them via ISY - still getting the same behavior. The Switchlinc where the load is connected will go from zero to the preset Dim level on the first press then to Full on on the second press, as intended. The other Switchlinc will go from zero to the preset Dim level on the first press but on the second press only the LED's go to Full on, the lamps stay at the Dim level. Before I start trying to decode Link Tables anyone have an explanation/so…

When does ISY run the programs? e.g., 1) when it detects any event, Insteon or X10, from any device? 2) when it detects only events in its own link tables? 3) other ... Is there any order in which the programs are run? I did a Google on these topics and didn't find anything useful. Are the inner-workings of ISY described somewhere? Thanks, Richard

Is it possible for a Keypadlinc button to be momentary on? I set up a good bye button with a program, but the only thing is, when it is pressed, it has to be pressed again to release the button. I have it set up as a toggle on/off. Will it help if I set this button to Always on? Or does this mean that the button will always be on leaving the scene on or is it a momentary on? Thanks, Robert

Hello, I have a strange problem. I purchased a ZTS-110 Z-wave thermostat, and it has a bug that is really annoying me. When it is set to metric, the "heating setpoint" value performs the conversion from imperial->metric twice. Meaning that if I set the setpoint to 21C, it will report that it is set to -4C. This is very annoying. I've checked the logs, and the thermostat actually is reporting (in this instance) -4C to the ISY. Another example: At 16C it reports -9C. Is it possible to trigger a program when a button on a mini-remote (8 button version) is pressed, regardless if the press is for an on or an off state? Right now I have a pair of programs (one for on and another for off) that is triggered when I press the designated button on my Mini Remote, and if the action of the button was for an on or off event. Since these two programs are identical (with only one element changing), I'd like to combine the programs into one and use the Status value of the button for the actual on/off function. I have installed firmware V4.3.26 and admin 4.4.1. I loaded the application not the applet. I strongly suspect my PLM has failed (found, of course, the day after the 20% sale. I am trying to run the console without my firewall to make sure there is not a problem with my recently updated version of Bitdefender. Although I don't think it should care about allowable local LAN devices. I want to start the console with the firewall off and thus have disconnected the cable modem to do the test. Hello - I just installed and setup my first 5 button KeyPadLinc and have everything working as expected. I then noticed a peculiar configuration issue that I can't figure out how to resolve. It seems that when adding a button on the KPL to control a scene it does not reference the scene from that point forward to determine devices and light levels. This creates a problem when I update the scene with either a new device or change a light setting as the KPL will call the scene with the original configuration that was in place when the KPL was setup to be the controller. I'm trying to link 2 of my Insteon 2440 Remotelincs to my ISY994i but every time I do I get a message that it can't determine the engine or can't communicate (see attached). I've successfully linked 2 2342s so I understand the process. I'm in the process of moving from Homeseer to ISY and in Homeseer all the Remotelincs work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am getting closer. Installed Java. Added IP to exception site list. Now getting "certificate revoked" message when trying to open Admin Console for first successful time via HTML. I can get to device web page. Suggestions? Okay NEVERMIND.....I determined unit was using 3.3.10 so I went to that manual and was able to load the Admin Console successfully using link in that manual.

I have an ISY994i and an Insteon 74551 Garage Door Control & Status Kit. I have been searching around for an example program that will close my garage door if I accidentally leave it open, but I haven't been able to find anything. I woke up this morning and noticed that several of my programs didn't run. After looking closer I noticed that the LED was off on my PLM (2413S). I figured it was toast as it's a few years old and I know that longevity is not its strong point. That said, I unplugged it for a while and plugged it back in and now the LED is back on (green). It does appear to be communicating with my ISY and I can send commands to all of my devices, however it's not recognizing device states when I manually turn on switches, etc and it's also not recognizing devices states for any of my motion sensors or TriggerLinc's. I searced for the answer to this question, but I couldn't find my exact situation. If I missed a post that answers my questions, please let me know. I have two lights near my garage. I have two motion sensors linked to the light switch for those lights. I can't remember how I originally programmed the sensors; perhaps to not be programmed and to send on and off commands to the switch. Anyway, I want the garage door lights to be on during a certain time period each day. If there is motion during those times, the system is to ignore the motion. Outside that time period, I want motion to turn on the lights for some on-time (say, 5 or 10 minutes). What happen…

Can anyone help me with the program of sunset or disregarding scenes changing? IE I have a sunset scene - this runs similar to the MS for dark days posted by another user or by time of day. However I may turn on lights and adjust them before the sunset becomes in effect. So for example I maybe will have on an office light, then sunset in turned on and my office light goes off. Or maybe a light in the dining room or bedroom is set lower dimming level then the sunset scene turns on and brightens it. Is there anyway to adjust to leave the lights at the set scenes if they are dim or on? In the summertime hours its stays lighter longer so like right now I will be watching …

Just installing my ISY994i Pro to replace a Houselinc system. Have been on X10/Smarthome then Houselinc/Insteon&X10 for many years, finally migrating to 90% Insteon a few X10s left and ISY994i Pro. Some links were not discovered by ISY but are working just fine. For example, I have 2-Switchlinc dimmers, an On/Off module, and a Lamplinc in one room - using one of the Switchlinc's as Controller and the others as Responders. All works fine when I enter the room and tap the Controller. BUT ISY shows NO links for the Lamplinc. If I display the Link Table (ISY and Device tables are identical) it lists devices that I do not have and one that I have never had.…

I wasn't clear on this from the wiki - I want to make a program that IF it's dark out AND either one of two zones is violated THEN turn on some lights. IF Time between dusk and dawn AND (Zone 1 violated OR zone 2 violated) Not sure how to get the AND/OR correct. Probably something with the AND (...) buttons but wasn't sure how to get this to work. Hi, I am brand new to ISY and INSTEON. I purchased the INSTEON Doorbell and Telephone Ring Alert Kit and I am trying program my SwitchLinc Dimmer to flash the lights when doorbell rings but return lights to previous state. So for example, if I am watching movie with lighting at 30% brightness I want it to flash full on and full off but return to 30%. How do I accomplish this? My program currently looks like this: If Control ‘Device A’ is switched On Then Repeat 2 times Set ‘Device B’ Fast On Wait 1 Seconds Set ‘Device B’ Fast Off Wait 1 Seconds

I have multiple Fanlinc with 6 button combos in my house. They all work great except one. It will turn off at 3am on random days. I have yet to find out why. Anyone else have this issue?

The illumination level behind the "OFF" button on my 2487s suddenly stopped changing from level 1 to 10 when the associated lamp is turned off. Turning "ON" works properly, as do the A B C D buttons ... just the OFF button is staying at level 1 regardless of state I don't see any way to specifically address the "off" lamp level through the ISY Anyone know how to fix this ?
