I have noticed that my Log file is flooded now that I am running nodeservers on my new Polisy. For example over the period of: Wed 2020/11/25 16:49:27 thru Tue 2020/12/08 21:11:17 I had a total of 78925 entries Of these, the following were observed: 10273 Ecobee Base Node (I do have 7 remote Sensors) 24344 for all Ecobee Nodes 18899 for Three LifX Nodes (3 Separate Z-strips) These two Polys are accounting for over HALF of my log file entries over time. Is this normal? My Motion Sensor IIs are also reporting higher volume but that is explained by Covid-19 increasing indoor time. /Bill

I chose to put my ISY on an extension Cord, a long ethernet cable, and a long ethernet cable to the PLM. Then, brought the ISY as close as possible to each of my four BE469ZP locks to include wehn I rebuilt my Z-Wave network under 5.3,.0.

Again, not sure if it was specific to 5.3.1 or 5.3.0, but I believe my program was working in 5.3.0 still. In my BE469ZP programs, I include Battery Life and the "Last User" information in my notifications: last user ${sys.node.ZW004_1.USRNUM} Now, it no longer reports the user number using that entry. Battery Life appears correct on Node ZW004_1. I ran a test on all six nodes and only the "Access Control" Node reports the User. or me it was assigned 306 in my Grouped Device Tree: last user ${sys.node.ZW004_306.USRNUM} For all I know, this is the proper way for the z-wave network to work but it does highlight the little changes that affect programs...that take some of us a lot longer to notice! /Bill

I am not sure if this is a 5.3.0 or a 5.3.1 change: I have programs that send me text alerts for my Schlage BE469ZP Locks. The Alerts tell me whether the lock was locked or unlocked User Number and Battery Level Type of action( Keypad, Manual, Automatic or Remote. I was using the "Basic" Node and the dropdown menu with a Control IF Statement For the Remote one, I used Status first and then a second (disabled) program to check if it was NOT, Manual, Keypad or Automatic. Now, it seems that the logic is being ignored. I probably have to use one of the newly added nodes since 5.3.0, specifically "Access Control" in the program. I Had the following simple program: If Control #Lock-Garage is Switched Alarm Unlocked by keypad Then (Send a text with a specific Configuration) I am changing it to: If Status of #Lock-Garage / #Lock-Garage Access Ctl Access Control is Keypad Unlock Then (Send a text with a specific Configuration) Will report back if it works. I think this is something I was not expecting but is probably the result of modifying the way ISY interfaces with Z-Wave devices now. I wonder what other easter eggs I can find if I dig into this further! Bill

I just performed an IO Linc replacement. It did not go perfectly either but in the end worked. I did not document the issues or report the bug. I did the normal replace steps, and ISY copied all the information and then did the programs as I watched. Before being done (the little update window was still present but not showing activity), it closed the console, quitting Admin Console...WITHOUT any assistance from me...so it basically crashed in my opinion. I relaunched Admin Console and the IO Linc was there with the new device 6-digit code and Old name. All programs worked. /Bill

Could this be the infamous "ALL ON" problem? Does that only affect IO Lincs...nothing else went on that I can tell.

Running 5.3.0 on an ISY994IR PRO with ZW PPOLISY PRO I unlocked my door to garage (Schlage BE469ZP), received Door unlocked Alert text opened the door (Hidden Door Sensor) triggered alert for door open text A Motion Sensor II in Garage, USB powered Lights in Garage go ON via MSII and/or HDS in Program - NO Recent changes to this program This morning, for the first time ever, after I opened the door to the Garage, Two of my Three OHGDs with IO Lincs ( I have one bad IO Linc) OPENED Unexpectedly ! Then, when I went back in the house, I saw that the gas Fireplace, also on an IO Linc, was now ON Log file does not really show anything useful as far as I can tell. There are NO IO Linc Relay entries, only status. Error Log has no Entries for that Time Period. After rebuilding my 5.3.0 Z-Wave Network, all four of my BE469ZPs have the six nodes and no options. But working reliably! /Bill

Three days into the Z-Wave Network rebuild and all for BE469ZPs are still reporting 100% Looks like the network rebuild worked! One lesson learned is to track the ZW addresses for the devices and add them back in the same order to preserve program and custom configurations. That added a lot of time and effort. And the mouser is still at 80% after three days but started there since been operational for six months...hasn't taken any out yet although I did find mickey legs up about a month ago but probably from a baited trap. Also initiated my new POLISY as I branch into a new realm. Working so far with basic commands for: SONOS HUE LIFX ECOBEE Just wish I knew it didn't yet work with hidden SSIDs. makes the pro version useless for me right now. /Bill

Rebuilt the Z-Wave network...fixed the programs but still some testing to do. Will see how the battery life is now. Did not get any Fall cleanup done in the yard! Bill

ZW026 was new, it was ZW006. Thanks! Thanks...Have not Factory reset my locks ...YET! I set a custom Programming Code on all four and will have to go through that again also... The downside of IOT!

I have been moving my ISY closer to the locks. I have excluded all my devices...including the z-wave mouse trap Reset the ISY z-wave Dongle to factory Synchonized...I think unnecessary Fresh batteries in all locks Added back in one lock successfully....YEAH! Still no options but at least it is there. With the correct new ZW002 assignment. Now for the next lock! Bill

I should have excluded first! Right now, I have tried to exclude one. Done it, but trying to Include it back in all I can get is the ZW 026 Unavailable...Ugh. I am a Z-Wave illiterate I have about a dozen devices (One fan Controller, Two, Water Valves, and some On/off wall warts) but if I burn down the Z-wave network and start from scratch I am not sure I can add these Z-Wave plus lock back in like they worked before the upgrade. I have 4 Schlage BE469 Locks. Since upgrading to 5.3 They seem to be draining their batteries at an alarming rate. I am talking days! Whereas previously they lasted many Months. I have text alerts configured with battery levels and watch them plummet. I may have to exclude them and re-add. Bill

I just upgraded to the 5.3.0 Release from 5.0.16 and have noticed the same change (or loss in GUI) I have FOUR Schlage BE469ZP locks and All made this change. I too see quite a few "[ZW-TX-FAILED]" in the detailed event viewer during Queries and Writes. I did not move my z-wave network to a different controller before upgrading. I am also not a power user in that while I may have broad knowledge, my depth is still in the kiddie pool level. ut I do have 399 device nodes, and too many scenes and programs for one with my experience /Bill

I have a second 994i, this one with ZW that I would like to use to replace my existing non-ZW 994i. I have the ISY Portal, X-10 modules and Node Server installed. I am running 5.0.14 I could not find this in the Wiki or forum but if you can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated! How should I go about replacing the unit to ensure I do not cause any loss of services? I assume I can use my backup to restore to the new 994. How do I handle the new UID ? How do I ensure it is tied to the ISY Portal? Can I use the same PLM as I planned? Do I have to run in parallel first with a different IP or use the same local IP? any other concerns?
