New router, no ISY
@MrBill- thanks for the quick reply! The DHCP address range on the old Netgear R7000 was 192.168.0.n and the new ASUS RT-AX86U is 192.168.50.n. Initially, I thought about changing the new router to use the old IP range, but forgot to and since everything else is running fine now, that seems like overkill. When I said the ISY was missing, what I meant was that its not showing up in the device table in the new router. In the old one, I did not have a static IP assigned to the ISY. Before removing the old router, I did a ton of screen prints into a Word document and can see that the ISY was assigned 192.168.0.5.

New router, no ISY
I bought a new router yesterday and after getting everything setup, I don't see my ISY994. All the other devices on my network are there, but the ISY is missing. I discovered this when running the launcher on my desktop and the finder says Not Found. Any ideas how to get it back?

Default email not working?

Default email not working?
This is, in part, a continuation of the topic Gmail Stopped Working which is closed. In the Admin Console under Configuration -> Emails/Notifications -> Settings/Groups tab, I have been unable to get the checkbox Use Default to work. I have a program that runs every night at midnight to send me an email of the status of my ISY994i. Is anyone using this successfully? Is there anything else that needs to be configured after checking that box? Where would I find the log file showing what is happening in the ISY at midnight each night? Other than trying to update the email settings last year when gmail stopped working, I haven't really touched the ISY in a few years, so I'm quite rusty. The reason I'm trying that to use that default is that I never was able to get the email to work with my Comcast credentials, even with the generous help from @MrBill. I must be missing some setting there. One other thing I tried was using another ISP's server. That gives me an error regarding TLS when I hit the Test button. It would appear that v5.3.0 uses TLS v1.0 or maybe 1.1. Will upgrading to v5.3.4 fix this? Does that newer version use TLS 1.2? I've been debating upgrading to 5.3.4 for a while, but given that everything runs so smoothly with 5.3.0, there was never a reason to upgrade. If I can just get emails to send from the ISY, that would be worth the upgrade to me. Thanks for any tips you guys have

Michel, how can we help?
@Michel Kohanim Thanks so much for all you do and have been doing for all these years. Can't even count all the times you have helped me. You can definitely put me down for at least 3 PLMs when the day comes. I too have to ask what I can do to help. I would even be ready to invest if/when that day comes.

Insteon HUB (2245) cloud servers shut down
Ok, looks like this guy is legit. He has all positive ratings. Just sent him a question about exactly what would be replaced in the PLM.

Insteon HUB (2245) cloud servers shut down
I checked that out earlier and thought it said he just fixes the power supply. I'll go back and look again. Still have a few burnt out toggle switches I could practice the soldering on.

Insteon HUB (2245) cloud servers shut down
Having not been on this forum for about a month, here's where I found out about this a couple days ago: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/insteon-smarthome-still-in-business.3242411/ I've been an Insteon fanatic for as long as I can remember. I started playing with this type of technology back in the X10 days. Once I found the ISY/Insteon solution to automating, I went all in. I was looking at the HUB stuff a few years ago and had quite a few posts here asking about it. Finally decided I didn't need or want to go in that direction. For me, it was just overkill. I'm up to about 35 Insteon devices all controlled by my ISY994i. Having been a software developer since the days of mainframes and TTY terminals (with that spool of yellow paper tape on the side), I've had fun programing the ISY. There are only a couple of things I need to control remotely and MobiLinc Pro has served me well. As for having the rug pulled out from all of us without warning, this is the 3rd time in the past year for me. I've had a Livio internet radio for about 10 years and last year, without any warnings, they shut down the Reciva server turning all the Livio radios into door stops. Last month, the lawn service I'd been using for 12 years, didn't show up for the spring cleanup. I called and emailed them about a dozen times as my yard got more and more overgrown, finally getting a response that they no longer do residential lawns. Considering it almost guaranteed we will never see new PLMs again, I guess its time to pull out the two dead PLMs I have kept and fix them. Haven't had a soldering iron in my hand in a very long time, so I'm going to need a lot of practice on other old electronics in my junk pile.

Where Is Product News & Announcements?
@Michel Kohanim In the thread Will there be a replacement for the Insteon PLM? When you mentioned to "uncheck everything except for Product News & Announcements, and once we have confirmation, we'll notify you." I'm not finding where the PN&A thread/topic is. Could you please be more specific? Thank you

Gmail Stopped Working
Thanks for the link to the error codes. Changed the password and now I get -5 (SMTP_CONNECT_FAILED). Wondering if I've had too many unsuccessful attempts today. Will try again tomorrow.

Gmail Stopped Working
Thank you sir. Just read through the Release 5.3.4 Test Build is now available thread and although it was a bit frightening at first, by page 3 I'm feeling better. I'll do the upgrade in the next couple days. I always do it the manual route and haven't had any issues, except the couple times I've forgotten to clear the java cache. I do have the comcast parameters setup correctly except for the SMTP port which was set to 465 as above. Just changed it to 587 and I no longer get the server error when doing a test, but the email is not reaching my Inbox. Is there any way to debug this? I just pulled the latest error log ISY Error Log.v5.3.0__Wed 2021.11.17 03.43.46 PM.txt and the last line in there is this: Wed 2021/11/17 03:34:59 PM System -50001 -16 Is there any way to debug what is happening when I hit the Test button?

Gmail Stopped Working
Thanks guys for the replies. I have been checking my ISY every couple months looking for updates and I do apply them when available. Here's my current setup: Other than that, I haven't added any new devices or programs since early 2020. @MrBillIf you would please provide your Comcast settings, I would appreciate it. I tried it a few times and can't get it to work. Here's my latest attempt at setting it up and attempting to send a test email:

Gmail Stopped Working
Yep, 'cause this is the first I've heard of it! ? I actually haven't touched anything on my ISY in years. Please tell me more.

Gmail Stopped Working
My ISY994i has been using the gmail smtp server to send emails from various programs/notifications. I just realized that I haven't received any emails recently. The last one was on Nov 2. Is anyone else using smtp.gmail.com and having issues? BTW, and sorry for what may be an obvious question, are there any log files on the ISY that would show what's happening?

Upgraded To 5.3, Seeing References to Vars
Thanks @tmorse305. Forgot to come back and post that you were right and I got it fixed pretty quickly. Still wish I knew why this happened.

Upgraded To 5.3, Seeing References to Vars
Just upgraded my ISY994i from 5.0.15 to 5.3. In many of the programs, I'm now seeing code like this: Check Away Folder Copy - [ID 003C][Parent 0001] If Folder 'Away' is True Then $[Var 2.1] = $[Var 1.1] Else $[Var 2.1] = $[Var 1.2] Is there any quick way to figure out which variables I was using in these programs?

Can't Use Admin Console
Yep, thanks guys, already done. That's one of those things that for years, I had in my mental checklist to do "one day".

Can't Use Admin Console
Nevermind. The answer was right in front of me. When I rebooted the ISY, it got a new IP from the router. All is well.

Can't Use Admin Console
I have been using MobiLinc Pro for a few years and decided to give the new MobiLinc X a try. Loaded it on my iPhone and it connected to my ISY. After playing with it for a while, I realized that I don't need or even want all that extra functionality. I deleted the app and will stay with the Pro version. Now when I try to login to the Admin Console, I get the two attached errors. Could MobiLinc X have somehow trashed my configuration? I even rebooted (unplug, wait a minute, plug back in) but still get those same two errors. Any suggestions as to how to get the console working again? Thanks

Comcast Now Using SSL For SMTP
Apparently, there is no way around the Comcast SSL requirement and there doesn't seem to be a way to specify an SSL connection in the console. Thanks to @Michel Kohanim for pointing me to the Wiki article showing how to configure for gmail in this post: https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/26189-what-smtp-server-are-you-using/?do=findComment&comment=261371

Comcast Now Using SSL For SMTP
Started another thread in the networking group to see what others are using. I can't even get this to work now with Yahoo or Gmail. Pretty much dead in the water here, at least as far as email notifications go.

Comcast Now Using SSL For SMTP
Just realized today that I haven't been getting email notifications from my ISY for a while. For the SMTP server, I have been using the same Comcast server for a few years. After doing a little digging, I found that back in mid-March they started requiring SSL connections to send mail. From what I see in the Console (Configuration -> Email/Notifications -> Settings/Groups), our only options are TLS or nothing. Is there a way to use SSL? Is anyone else using Comcast/Xfinity SMTP?
