  1. Your switch that does not have the load is probably not connected properly to the neutral circuit. You may have mixrd up yhe neutral with the old travelers when you installed it. As for the third switch, it may have a legacy program in it that kicked in for some reason.
  2. how does splitting it help? His if is sunset AND light at 0. You seem to describe the problem as if its executing in an OR method.

You can use an insteon device to control a 110v coil on a contactor. 50 amp contactors aren't too expensive

    Help a new guy

I've been looking at the same things for vacation homes. We use a lot of heat tape to melt ice off of our roofs up here and it's a power hog. You should look into the Ezswitch 30 for large loads and the linelinc for small loads and low voltage. You could use venstar t-stats and send yourself a notification if someone else adjusts the t-stat manually. You could even query the t-stat and set it to your desired setpoint every 5 minutes, overriding a manual setting. The brultech os going to be a great measurement tool when it's compatible with ISy but just start with the isy and the network module. See how close that gets you to your goal... We have done some clever things in motels up here like shutting off the room heat and lights when motion is not sensed. You could try a motion sensor control system too.
  5. I have an OutletLinc 2473S receptacle controlling a small plug in heater. It's programmed to turn on for two hours at bedtime. I also wanted to "manually" control it from a wall switch. So I installed a SwitchLinc 2476S wall switch in an existing location and simply nutted off the "load" wire. I linked it into the system as a controller to the outlet. It works perfectly. Here's my question - Is there a cheaper way or did I simply do something that everyone else does all the time? I thought of a keypad or the Icon but for a single switch, this works perfectly.
  6. if you have an iphone or itouch just take it with you in the car. I am basing my whole system on my itouch and plan to mount mine to the entry wall. I currently have a z-wave garage door opener type of clicker now to run my coach lights, entry lights and foyer light. I bought it before the isy came into my plan. I am hoping that z-wave support will come soon... device: Lutron Aurora AR-WC-WH Remote Control

    Analog inputs

Thanks but I didn't see any I/O linc devices that read analog inputs. Do you know the i/o linc part number?

    Analog inputs

I've seen the topics discussing the products available but i am wondering if anyone has tried other interface items. I want to convert 0-5v analog input to x10 or insteon and feed it to the isy99. Are there any single analog input devices? I don't need any outputs.
  9. I came home from work and tried it again and it suddenly started working after a few failures. Now I'm on to setting up smtp and some devices
  10. I'm suspecting a router issue. however, I can access it through the 99i path, but not the other path. Could it be related to the basic screens that are not showing up on the web page. I get a blank screen and no errors other than the one above. Strange
  11. My first day hasn't gone well at all. I installed the new 99i and the weather and network modules. Once I tried to launch it using the assigned address, it won't load in Firefox or IS. It's a blank screen in Firefox and a load error in IS. I get the following Java error: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Could not convert JavaScript argument arg 0 [nsIDOMWindowInternal.opener]" nsresult: "0x80570009 (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_CONVERT_JS)" location: "JS frame :: http://www.universal-devices.com/close.htm :: onload :: line 1" data: no] It's not a good start and worries me that deployment of this product to customers may not be easy.
