Zwave reverting back to “default” in scenes
Adam Ant replied to Adam Ant's topic in Z-Wave - Series 700
Good idea! I am on the latest version of ISY (5.4.2) and my Polisy is up-to-date. -
Hello! I am having an issue with zwave devices reverting back to “default” action within scenes. I am positive I changed them to “command” but then they go back to back to default… in the most recent case this happened within 24 hours. It may be related to a reboot but I need to confirm that. What’s really interesting is this doesn’t happen to all the control devices in the scene. This is one of my main scenes so it can be controlled from multiple devices. The main culprit seems to be my keypadlinc device. Did a search in the forum but not finding anyone else reporting the issue. Anyone else? Adam

For those considering the IFTTT nodeserver, it works great! I love how you can reference these IFTTT devices right in your scenes and programs. Very cool

Thanks for your help, @JimboAutomates! As discussed, I should have been using just the key for my api_key in the configuration vs the entire path+key.

Thanks! It did indeed take and I am now running the 3.0.1 version. However, I am still getting the same error. Could it be a problem on my end?. 2022-03-03 20:47:19,051 Command udi_interface.node ERROR node:runCmd: command DOFF not defined
-
Any luck?
-
Afraid there is still an issue... While I do indeed see 3.0.1 in the node store, my system doesn't want to automatically apply the upgrade. I am showing the current running version as 3.0.0. I have: 1. Restarted the node server 2. Ran the upgrade process from PG 3. Dropped to the command line and ran an update/upgrade 4. Rebooted the Polisy 5. just for good measure restarted the IFTTT nodeserver again.. Still shows 3.0.0 and the problem remains. Any ideas?

Getting this error: 2022-03-02 18:28:16,044 Command udi_interface.node ERROR node:runCmd: command DOFF not defined

Getting close! I now have the Trigger off event in ISY but it does not seem to be firing the webhook. Seems like I am missing the linkage.. Any ideas?

I have found it after I made my post but not sure what values go into each field . >>Node Address: Enter a short, 8 characters or less node address. Must be unique and should never change I have use the name "Spotoff" as in spotify off. Is that correct? Can be anything as long as it is short, right >>Node Name: Enter a descriptive node name I entered: This is used to pause Spotify >>On Event Name: The IFFTT Webhooks event name to trigger for "On". Not required Not sure what goes here. There is no "on" action so I left this empty >>Off Event Name: The IFFTT Webhooks event name to trigger for "Off". Not required I entered the name of the webhook here. I named it "Spotoff" on IFTTT. Is that the right value? Thanks! Adam

@JimboAutomates, Thanks for building this nodesever! I am afraid is not clear to me how to use it. I have the nodeserver all configured in PG3 with the correct api_key etc. The node server is also showing up in my ISY. I have created my webhook on IFTTT that triggers an action. How do add that webhook to my ISY? Thanks!

I would be interested in that node server! Meanwhile, I still have other errors in my log. Maybe I should use this as a bonding opportunity with @Michel Kohanim as well!

This is really meant to possibly help others - I recently spent several weeks trying to chase down an "Already Subscribed" error when I was trying to login to my ISY. I also was having sporadic MobiLinc issues with connect timeouts etc. I had recently added Home Assistant and Polisy so I was thinking it might be related to crossing a threshold of the 10 connections allowed into the ISY.. It turns out it was completely unrelated! In checking the logs I discovered that I was getting a bunch of "[FileOpen ] Open failed for [/CONF..." errors. My system was generally working ok with only an occasional glitch. I'm guessing the file read issues were causing connections to become phantom thus using up all the connections. Regardless, I reseated the SD card and all has been fine since! I am going to replace the card in case it is going bad. So Lesson learned: even if you think it is unrelated, always check the logs for errors.. may save yourself allot of trouble! Hope this helps someone!

You are always so helpful @MrBill! Got my Polisy a couple of days ago and all is working well. Just experimenting with ISY on Polisy at this point. ?

Will ISY run faster on Polisy vs the original hardware? I would imagine it will be about the same. Also, will all the Insteon hardware be supported? Just weighing the pros/cons of migrating to ISY on Polisy. Adam

Thanks! Turns out it was config issues.. Lesson learned - Just because node servers show up on the ISY doesn't mean you are done with the configuration/setup.

Wow! Allot to consider! Thanks for the detailed response!

Is there any thoughts on adding a UD Mobile widget for ios? The main reason I stay on Mobilinc is that feature. As you can see below, I like being able to quickly access my favorite devices, see their status, and then trigger a change in their state. For example, from the screen grab below you can see that one of my garages is open the other is closed.. All I have to do is tap it and closes the door. Can also call programs from there as well. As you can also see IFTTT supports widgets but doesn't show state.

I have been on ISY for years but only recently started messing with node servers (after getting my Polisy). I am sure it must be a newbie question but I am not finding any docs or posts that address it. I have been able to get my ISY to see the node servers but can't figure out how to get the devices from the nodes to show up on the panel on the left. What am I missing?

Makes sense! Thanks for all you do in the forums!

Happy Thanksgiving, @MrBill! Thanks for the tip of HA! Very impressive! Amazing how easy it is to integrate and build dashboards! Wondering how much you rely on isy/Polisy for your automation vs. the automation built into HA? THANKS AGAIN!

They just responded! Good to know they are so responsive!! Thanks @MrBill

Hello! I just got my Polisy! Excited to start exploring it.. unfortunately not off to a good start. I have plugged the network port into the port furthest from the power plug, plugged it in the power... I was expecting some beeping and lights flashing etc. All I got was a light on the far right (as you look at the front) and then nothing else happens. it also does not appear to connect to my DHCP for a network ID. Any ideas out there?.. I have raised a support ticket but was hoping to play with it this weekend.. Adam

@MrBill I was referring to this posting and others around jun 30th in this thread. I’m sure I must have just misunderstood…or wishful thinking….your tip on swapping out the daughter board between 2413u and 2413s was awesome! Thanks

Oh shoot, I read in one of the forums that someone was able to plug the hub into one of the Polisy ports. Shoot! Thanks again for your help!
