Michel, I am hoping to get this resolved. You mentioned getting in contact with your tech support team. Please have them contact me. Thanks, Chuck chuck@professionalavi.com 319-430-2482

The PLM light does not blink without traffic.
-
Michel, Now the new device is showing the same symtoms! The icon next to it in the admin console is green and all associated scenes show the ramp rate as 9m. The first attempt at changing the ramp rate within a scene results in: [-110022] Couldn't open file [/CONF.ADR.CFG] [-110022] Couldn't open file [/CONF.FYP.CFG] Subsequent tries result in "Request Failed". Please help. Thanks.

Yes, I replaced it. I was initially planning on selling Insteon (I own an electronics integration business), so I have some in stock.
-
Michel, I replaced the device and had the same errors, even when powered directly into the PLM. I removed the device and added it as a new device and manually added it into all the scenes and programs and that worked. A pain, but it worked. I'm not sure why. Chuck

(That's supposed to be "v.28", not a smiley face in that last post)

Michel, I plugged a LampLinc (2456D3 v.28) directly into the PLM and could succesfully change it's default settings and settings within scenes. I have not moved the ISY/PLM and have not added anything. Thanks, Chuck

After pressing "ALL OFF", I still get "Request Failed" when trying to adjust the device settings within any scene. I do not use any SignalLink RFs or Access Points. The system has been working for over a year up to this point. Thanks, Chuck

I'm using v.2.7.14. I tried to upgrade to 15 and get, "Upgrade failed:invalid or incompatible upgrade file". The problem exists with the device on or off.
-
it's a 2476D v.27. Does this mean it's bad?

I have had a pretty reliable setup until a few days ago when I noticed a switchlinc dimmer not responding to scenes. I also noticed in the admin console it showed up with a different green icon next to it. The icon changed back to normal when I did a query on the device today. The device level and ramp rates within scenes show as comepletely different settings than it was originally set for. When I 1st open the admin console and try to correct the level or ramp rate for this device inside a scene, I get: [-110022] Couldn't open file [/CONF.ADR.CFG] [-110022] Couldn't open file [/CONF.FYP.CFG] And upon further attempts I get, "Request Failed". I can succesfully query the device and change it's default levels. Please help. Chuck

I just was checking my devices and discovered they all show "0%" for the On Level and "9.0 Min" for the Ramp Rate. The correct values show up if I query each device. Is this a known problem? Is it a good ideo to do a complete system reset/restore from time to time? My main system consists of a 99i v.2.6.7 and about 15 insteon devices. What would be the correct procedure and order? Thanks. Chuck

I did observe when I pressed All On or All Off from the Admin Console for the system in the garage it turned on and off a nearby 2476D, which was never linked to this PLM. I tried adding then removing the 2476D, but it still is controlled by these All On and All Off buttons. Is this normal? The PLM was new and I restored it before adding any devices (to "clean" it). The ISY-26 was previously used with this 2476D and other devices, but I did a Factory Reset before starting. There shouldn't be any traffic from the garage - nobody's in there. Any programs and scenes are only for those devices connected to the test strip in the garage. If your repeaters (any Insteon device) are distant this could create a problem (or at least use a Insteon HOP).

Thanks for your input and work Mike. The conditional folders were for Sunset to Sunrise (next day) and another for Sunrise to Sunset (same day). This appeared to work most of the time. I did remove the programs from these folders and things seem to be working better. Backing up...I think the source of most of my problems was a 2nd PLM and ISY-26 I've been configuring in my garage (for a customer). Although I had issues before (Hopefully because of this conditional folder bug), they became much worse after I started this second ISY project. I unplugged the 2nd PLM and ISY and the LED status programs run without a problem (so far). Which brings me to my next question: I am planning on configuring the ISY-26 to work in conjunction with mControl. This means I'll need a PLC plugged into the same outlet as the PLM. Is this going to cause similar communication problems? Thanks, Chuck

Yes, I meant SignaLincs. I thought maybe this would help with the issues. The only folder condition is the time of day and the status of the folder condition is True. This is a LampLinc. I have removed this in the past remembering something about them not always returning status properly. Do you know what the actual limitations are with LampLincs in this regards? All Off from the main console does work. I substituted the SwitchLinc linked to the LampLinc and it is working (for now). I will keep you posted. Thanks!

I assumed by selecting "Run" it ran the program. It appears to run the "Then" part of the program without checking the "If" statements. I checked this on multiple programs.
-
One more observation: If I manually select "Run" for the "All Off Status (Daytime)" program, the status changes to "True" and the KPL's "All Off" LED turns ON (as it should)!
-
I tried the SignaLincs - one on the same circuit as the KPL and placed near the circuit panel and one on an opposite leg, also near the circuit panel. This seamed to have caused more problems. Sometimes the All Off command would not even turn off the same KPL's LEDs even though they are in the same "All Off Scene" as the rest of the devices. I removed the FilterLincs and things improved. I restored the KPL in question. This is my current program configuration: If Status 'Basement Playroom Lights (loa' is Off And Status 'Dining Room - LIGHT (load)' is Off And Status 'Dining Room Ceiling Fan (load' is Off And Status 'Kitchen Ceiling Lights (load)' is Off And Status 'Kitchen Sink Light (load)' is Off And Status 'Living Room Ceiling (load)' is Off And Status 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is Off And Status 'Living Room Lamp (load)' is Off Then - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If Program 'All Off Status (Daytime)' is True And Status 'Living Room - ALL OFF' is not On Then Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If Program 'All Off Status (Daytime)' is False And Status 'Living Room - ALL OFF' is not Off Then Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') The first section is the "All Off Status (Daytime)" program. I tried this version after reading Darrell Peters' "'All Off' button/status -- one more twist" - good post Darrell. Right now all devices are Off and display as such in the Admin Console. Under the Program Summary tab, "All Off Status (Daytime)" status is False (when it should register as True). All other commands from the KPL work. All devices linked to the KPL work and the KPL refects their status properly. Another observation: When I turn one of the devices in the "All Off Scene (Daytime)" on or off the "Activity" column for "All Off Status (Daytime)" stays as "Idle". The "Last Run Time" does update. The "Status" remains as "False". Any suggestions??? Thanks. Chuck

Hi Darrell, My mistake, the dates should be 12/1/07 to 4/30/08. The purpose of the program was to turn the fan off at 6:00 AM only during the winter months. Do you know why the status of the 6:00 AM folder was 'True' at 6:30 PM?
-
I have several timers, but one in particular has some problems. If Time is 6:00:00AM And From 12:00:00AM on 2007/12/01 To 11:59:59PM on 2012/04/30 And Status 'Living Room Ceiling Fan (load' is On Then Set Scene 'Living Room Fan' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If I check the Program Summary, this timer event is always checked whenever ANY device status is changed. In other words, it is always listed in the group of programs last run. This led me to believe that because the dates part of the program was true, it had to check the rest of the program all the time. So I moved the program into a folder with this condition: Folder Conditions for '6:00 AM' Add conditions to limit when programs in this folder are allowed to run. If Time is 6:00:00AM Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. I then noticed anytime I pressed activated the Fan scene, the fan would turn off a couple seconds later. The Program Summary revealed the status of the "6:00 AM" folder as True. It's now 6:25 PM and the Configuration tab says the same.

Thanks Mike. I did end up removing: Wait 10 seconds Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED' Query Run Program 'ALL OFF LED - Off (Daytime)' (This is the program itself) This takes me back to where I started. I agree, this should work. And it does - most of the time. I'm not sure what else to do to ensure it works all of the time. (It's working right now) Chuck

If ( Status 'Basement Playroom Lights (loa' is not Off Or Status 'Dining Room - LIGHT (load)' is not Off Or Status 'Dining Room Ceiling Fan (load' is not Off Or Status 'Kitchen Ceiling Lights (load)' is not Off Or Status 'Kitchen Sink Light (load)' is not Off Or Status 'Living Room Ceiling (load)' is not Off Or Status 'Living Room Lamp (load)' is not Off Or Status 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is not Off ) And Status 'Living Room - ALL OFF' is not Off Then Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED' Off Wait 10 seconds Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED' Query Run Program 'ALL OFF LED - Off (Daytime)' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') The All Off LED referred to in this program is now ON as I write this even though 5 of the loads are ON. The program status is False. Any ideas why the LED status intermittently (like once every other day) does not reflect the correct status? I have tried many versions and alterations to the "LED Status" programs including the one above, which does an additional Query of the LED and runs the program again just in case there was a communication issue in turning the LED On or Off. Thanks. Chuck

It works again. I realized my time was off. It thought it was Saturday. I thought I updated the time when I upgraded to 2.6.2, but must not have... Thanks for your help. Chuck

I have a simple program which always worked in the past that now does not: If Control 'Living Room - ALL OFF' is switched On Or Control 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is switched Fast Off Or ( Status 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is Off And Control 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is switched Off ) Then Set Scene 'All Off Scene (Daytime)' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is pressed off while the status is already off the scene should run, but it doesn't and the Program Summary says the program status is False vs. if I douple tap the 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' the Program status is True and the Scene is activated. I can't figure this one out. Any ideas??? Thanks!

Also... I just pressed the 'Light Off' button (the bottom button in a 6-button configuration) and this did correct the status in the Administrative Console and the 'ALL OFF' button on the other KeypadLinc turned on (as it should). The 'Light Off' button was already lit before I pressed it. Why would the status be wrong in the Admin Console?
