Tried it, but this does not solve the problem. I just checked the Adminstrative Console and it states my Dining Room Light (load) KeypadLinc Dimmer (2486D) is ON (it's not and the device itself indicates it is 100% off).

Michel, The devices in the ALL OFF scene include: (1) SwitchLinc Relay Timer v.63 (1) In-LineLinc Relay v.2A (1) 2476DH SwitchLinc Dimmer v.28 (4) SwitchLinc Dimmers v.27 (2) KeypadLinc Dimmers v.29 with (1) load-button and ( sub-buttons (2) LampLincs v.28 All are responders. I'm glad I'm not the only one working on this... I have an 'ALL OFF' button E on a KPL I use for 2 purposes: 1) To turn off everything when pressed (the LED status is then on). 2) Monitor the status of all loads and be a status indicator of whether or not all devices are actually off. For part 1: If Control 'Living Room - ALL OFF' is switched On Or Control 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is switched Fast Off Or Control 'Office - Living Room Lamp' is switched Fast Off Then Set Scene 'ALL OFF (program-activated)' Fast Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Where Scene 'ALL OFF (program-activated)' contains all devices and KPL buttons. This has been working fine. For part 2: If Status 'Basement Playroom Lights (loa' is Off And Status 'Dining Room - DECK' is Off And Status 'Dining Room - LIGHT (load)' is Off And Status 'Dining Room - YARD' is Off And Status 'Dining Room Ceiling Fan (load' is Off And Status 'Kitchen Ceiling Lights (load)' is Off And Status 'Kitchen Sink Light (load)' < 40% And Status 'Living Room Ceiling (load)' is Off And Status 'Living Room Lamp (load)' is Off And Status 'Office Ceiling Light (load)' is Off Then Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED' On Else Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED' Off The problem: it works about 75% of the time. It sometimes fails when another scene is activated (which turns on some lights and therefore should turn off the 'ALL OFF' LED. Other times the LED won't turn on even though all lights are off and their status is correct on the ISY GUI. I have experimented with "Wait" delays of 1, 2 and 3 seconds and 2 seems to be the most reliable. I wish there was a written "best way" of accomplishing this. I would love for this to work reliably! Any suggestions would be greatly appreatiated. Thanks! Chuck

The 'wait' action appears to have fixed the problem. I do sometimes get problems with programs not initiating, particularly when using 'fast on' or 'fast off' as a condition. Is it "best practice" or necessary to use a 1-2 second 'wait' before an action in a program? I placed all my devices and KPL buttons in a scene, but since I want the devices AND KPL LEDs to turn off when the 'all off' button is ON, I created a program to turn off the scene when the button is pressed. In a case like this, is it "best practice" to use a scene with the 'all off' button functioning as a controller for the devices and the program to correct the KPL LEDs vs. a program-activated scene as I'm now using? I have been working on a "ALL OFF" scene using toggle mode on the KPL button. Why? Because I'd like the button to reflect the status of whether or not all lights are actually off. Here's what I've done: 1) Created an "ALL OFF (program-activated)" scene with all the appropriate devices as reponders and a program within folders which have conditions for time because I want the kitchen sink light to go off during the day, but go to 30% at night while all other devices get turned off (when the ALL OFF button is pressed). This works - cool! Does this make scense, or should I just include all the devices to be turned off in the program vs. the program activating the scene? 2) Created an "ALL OFF LED Status" scene which only includes the "ALL OFF" KPL button as a responder. 3) Created an "ALL OFF LED" program with "If" conditions checking the status of all the devices with loads. I used "If Status 'Office Light' is not Off - Or status '___' is not Off.....Then Set Scene 'ALL OFF LED Status' Off" The idea is so after pressing "ALL OFF" the LED is on, but when any device is turned on the LED goes off. The problem is that it only works some of time and now when I press "ALL OFF" it blinks several times before the LED turns on. I suspect this is because of the Insteon traffic, so I was looking for a way to delay the "ALL OFF LED" program, but couldn't find a way. This all seems a bit complicated for this to work properly, but this was the main reason for trying the ISY vs. HouseLinc. Is there a better way? Thanks! Chuck

How did you add the "wait" command?

I wondering what the "best practice" is for setting KPL sub-buttons to control scenes. Should they be in toggle or non-toggle mode? When I was using HouseLinc desktop, I set them in non-toggle mode because if in toggle mode their on/off indicators never correctly followed whether a scene was "on" or "off". The problem with this configuration is that the button lights had to be in the "on" position if you wanted that button to turn on any lights and other controlling KPL buttons. With ISY, can the KPL buttons be in toggle mode and correctly indicate whether or not a scene is "on". In other words if after activating a scence you change the status of any device within that scene, the KPL scene-button turns off? How is this accomplished? Alternatively, can the KPL buttons be in non-toggle mode and in the "off" position and still turn devices AND other KPL buttons ON? Thanks, Chuck

Before I get started, I wanted to make sure Smarthome sent me the latest, or best firmware on the 2412S PLM. The sticker (which has been placed over a previous sticker) states "3507 Firm52 REV 2.4" I read somewhere in this forum there is a version 56. What is the preferred PLM version? Thanks, Chuck
