  1. @xgfreon That was easy. Not exactly intuitive, but easy. I didn't click around enough. Thanks.
  2. @firstone I did get my image from UDI, that is what started all this. UDI is great and very helpful. My purpose of this was to create a bare metal recovery. Yes, overkill. However I can be back up and running in 30 minutes or less. As far as PG2 and PG3 databases; I thought they were in the cloud. This could be a week point for my madness. What is rsync?
  3. @xgfreon So how do you put Rufus in read mode? I looked again today. Thanks
  4. @TriLife, That is weird. I ordered that adapter to write the Polisy OS on the SSD per UD. I tried to do a factory reset and bricked the Polisy. I got instructions for UD on how to write the SSD. I used Rufus, like you, to write it. No problems. I wrote the procedure above to read and write a .img file so that I could backup a working system. Beside the .img file is 32 gig as it is uncompressed.
  5. @ase, @BumbershootI figured if I were a Linux person I could probably mount the drive on a Linux box and do some more advance imaging. I am a PC guy so I had to do my way. I have limited Linux knowledge. Thanks for the good info. I will check out the provided links. I can't find anything on Eisy anywhere. I Googled it a while back. Thanks for the good info!
  6. @vbphilYes the OS and everything is on the SSD. To me the "shiny Box" is just like a mini computer. Look at all the ports and stuff in there for SATA drives etc. I just don't want to get into it that deep. I need it to do what it is supposed to do. I have the pro unit. I would like to know if and where the Bluetooth board is. I have found the WiFI board and not a clue what to do with it or why I would want to do something with it. Someone who is really techie might want these options.
  7. I haven't seen much on Polisy hardware in this Forum. So I figured I would add this. I like to back things up. So what if you get to digging into your Polisy and mess it up? You would have to go through all the hoopla of opening a ticket, getting the image, uncompromising it, writing it, etc. Actually it's not that hard. So I set out to back up the SSD. I used a mSATA adapter from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VP2WH73/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to physically mount my current mSATA drive. I attached my current Polisy mSATA drive to it and inserted it into my computer USB slot. First problem, it doesn't show up in File Manager. If I look in Disk Management it is there. I can't not assign a drive letter to it. Disk Management will not let me. All my imaging tools will not work as there is no drive letter. So I do some searching and stumble across "USB Image Tool", I used version 1.8.1. You can get it here: https://filehippo.com/download_usb-image-tool/1.81/ On the options tab there is an option to show USB drives, check it. Now the Polisy mSATA shows up! You can now back it up to an image (.img) file. Writing is just as easy. I used a 32 gig Dogfish $14 mSATA from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JHKFDL9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 to write the file. I put the new drive in the Polisy and all is fine. Granted you would have to reload anything installed after you created the image. I wonder if this will work on an Isy Micro SD card?
  8. @MrBillI am blind. It is right there! Thanks!
  9. @larryllixThe other day I right clicked on a device on the main tab, by accident and I saw "find/replace". I figured I would come back to it later and check it out. Well, It is not there anymore. I can't find "find/replace" anywhere. Does the device have to be in a failed state?
  10. @lilyoyo1@hart2hart@MrBill Thanks for the info. May put this off till next week!
  11. I am thinking of migrating my 994 to IoP this week. Instructions look straight forward. I am probably 95% Insteon. I have a serial PLM on the 994 and a USB PLM in the closet. Question is should I just use the USB PLM on the Polisy for the migration? Or would I be better off transferring the Serial PLM from the 994 to Polisy? I would have to build a serial to RJ45 cable. I am thinking it would be safer to use the USB PLM. What about all the links stored in the PLM?
  12. @bpwwer That being said I reinstalled Ping Node Serverin slot 1 of PG3 (it would not allow me to install in slot 3; for obvious reason) and rebooted PG3. Hubitat disappeared. I deleted Ping and now have a clean slate on PG3. I switched over to PG2 and Ping was orphaned. I rebooted PG2 and PG2 is now clear. Thanks I was dreading to do a factory reset on Polisy. It is always nice to fix things correctly.
  13. @MrBill No, the ISY994 still up and running just fine. I wanted to learn how to use node servers before I blew up a production device. Looks like I took out the Polisy learning. I have the node servers removed from both the IoP and ISY944. The node server lists are clean. I have uninstalled all the node servers from PG2 and PG3. PG2 shows I am clean on both the ISY and IoP (I have to toggle the IP's and ports back and forth). PG3 shows I have the Habitat stuck on IoP. PG3 shows ISY994 is clean (I toggle at the top drop down). Since Habitat only runs on PG2, I reinstalled it in slot 3 on the IoP, verified it was installed and deleted it again. It is still stuck. @GeddyHabitat used to work correctly and look like your Hue until something got crossed. Anyway to clean out PG3? Worst case I could reload the Polisy.
  14. @GeddyI did manage to get the Polisy PG2 to point to my ISY. Seems it was a port issue. Now however I am getting some really weird stuff happening. Like on the Habitat node server, I can tell Alexa to turn on/off a Habitat light and the light comes on/off and ISY shows it on. In ISY I can turn the same light on/off, the light goes on/off but ISY does't show it on. The light in ISY is also displayed as a 1/2 domino (square w/ 6 dots) and not a light. Then the Harmony app went to heck too. So I am going to unload all the nodes from the IoP, ISY, PG2 and PG3 and start over focusing on loading the ISY. If I can get this to work; why migrate to IoP?
  15. @GeddyNow that I kinda have this figured out, is there a way I can move PG2 from my IoP to ISY? I have changed the address and port to the ISY, but in the log it is still looking at the IoP. Even after a power on reset.
  16. @GeddyEvery time I go to Poliglot v2 and click dashboard, I would get a error. The error said "automatically found ISY at x.x.x.x:80. Please use set menu to set the password" or something like that. Well I set the password to the default and IoP; neither worked. I changed the port from 80 to 8080 and it is working. I can put nodes on IoP with V2. V2 does not seem as flexible as V3. Can't toggle between the 2 devices like V3. I tried briefly to load a node sever of ISY944 by changing the IP and port. Didn't work. May need to power cycle the Polisy. I will try later. I am probably pushing my luck.
  17. @GeddyI have been over that Update ISY screen for 3 days. I deleted and re-added devices a few times this morning. I tried different ports. Finally ended up back on 8080. It is working now. It is working on both IoP and ISY944. Now for Polyglot V2. I guess that will be my next topic. Give a monkey enough time an he will type something logical! Thank you!
  18. @GeddyI never looked for the Node Servers in the Portal either. They are there. I am trying to get it in the Admin Console. I did this once before with an ISY994 and I did not have this much trouble. In Admin Console on IoP, nothing but 100 empty slots.
  19. I finally installed a fresh image on Polisy, updated the packages, and have it working through the portal. I am not doing a migration at this time, that is until I feel comfortable. My problem at the moment is I can't seem to populate the Node Servers. I picked an easy one, Ping. I added Google 8.8.8.8 started the service. I put it in slot 1. Service says started in the Polyglot V3 dashboard. The portal show it loaded. I have a green dot. Select Tools, Connectivity, Node Servers, show it loaded to the correct device. I have rebooted Polyglot and IOP. Pulled the plug. Seems to me it should just show up in IoP. It doesn't. I must be missing something .
  20. Thanks @MrBill, I started a ticket yesterday. Michel has started.
  21. Well I did get it to reset. Now I can't find it on the network. Let me check your attachment from February and try somethings.
  22. Okay, so I finally got a Polisy. Since it is used, I figured first things first. It needs a factory reset and software version check. I tried following the reset procedure in Wiki. Hold the little button in till all 3 LEDs flash. Well I held it in for a minute. I should have had 1 blinking, followed by 2 blinking and finally all blinking. No LED ever blinked. I can feel the button depress. I can get into the device and see that it is half erased, the same as when I received it. All the modules are gone, but the programs remain in damaged form as the modules are all gone. Isy is 5.4.4.I can get into Polyglot 2 and 3. Now, how do I check for Polisy version 13? I have read through here and have not come up with much. I can SSH, but still not find the version.
  23. Sorry it has taken me 2 months to get back on this. We all work from home and testing alarms is a real sore point. Not to mention the dogs and cats. I am the only person to get out of the house alone, well besides the dog. Okay, I have not changed anything. Today I took out my can of smoke and sprayed around the detector and everything worked as planned. I received emails and the lights came on. I also recorded a True in the log instead of a False. I can tell it ended True by the half green icon. 30 minutes later looking at the smoke detector in the Main tab it showed the Smoke Bridge Smoke "on" long after the program ended. Hum. I can't reset that; unless I close and reopen the admin console. Which leads to validate @randyth saying he doesn't use the query to clear it. @MrBilland @randyth are both using "status on", so am I, so I am not going to mess with "switched on". I have tried this 4 times. with closing and not closing the admin console to clear the Smoke on condition. Every test was successful. @TechmanThe smoke bridge is connected to both the Hub and ISY. Yes, I know. 90% of my stuff is off the Hub.It took me 4 or 5 hours to connect the the Smoke Bridge to First Alerts. I was hoping to take the last items off the Hub and remove the links from the hub when they turned the Hub back on. That was wishful thinking. You might hold the only explanation as to why my program originally did run when smoke was detected, but returned a false value instead of true.
  24. I went through this a while back and thought I had it resolved. Not. I have a Smoke Bridge, Insteon Hub (more or less decommissioned but still on line, most everything has been removed from it) and the ISY994i. So the other day the wife is cooking and sets off the smoke detector. This in turn is picked up by the Insteon Hub and ISY. Insteon Hub sends me a smoke detected message. It did not dawn on me at the moment but ISY did not send a message. ISY also picked up a CO2 alert too. I think this is false, but still. ISY should have sent me a CO2 message too. I reviewed the log and saw this... ISY says they are false conditions, but yet it picked up the alerts. The time is correct. So I must be missing something as the condition was not true. Smoke Detector Smoke Detected - [ID 0065][Parent 0001] If 'Bedroom / Smoke Bridge-Smoke' Status is On Then Send Notification to 'Chris email' content 'Smoke Detector Smoke Detected' Wait 2 seconds Set 'Bedroom / Bedroom Ceiling-Light' On Wait 2 seconds Set 'Bedroom / Bedroom Nightstand' On Wait 2 seconds Set 'Living Room / Living Room Right' On Wait 2 seconds Set 'Kitchen Area / Kitchen Light' On Wait 5 minutes Set 'Bedroom / Smoke Bridge-Smoke' Query Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I guess I could put my "Then"s on the "Else" side; but that would be sloppy. Note: The Query as the last line seems to unlatch the Smoke Bridge from the ISY. It seems that the Smoke Bridge does not send an all clear or ISY is not looking for one; not sure witch. ISY will remain in a tripped state while the Smoke Bridge is back to normal. The Query forces ISY to update itself.
  25. @MrBillThanks again! So I guess a simple use of your "if ", then Query and Write. It would hammer away at it until true. After that if would stop and wait for the next false. tabetop Box 1 reset - [ID 00AC][Parent 0001] If 'Bedroom / Tabletop Box.1' Responding is False Then Set 'Bedroom / Tabletop Box.1' Query Set 'Bedroom / Tabletop Box.1' Write Changes Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
