  1. It didn't do the substitution. I thought maybe I needed to specify the node for Access Control (ZW007_306N001), but still no substitution. I get the literal text. This is what Admin shows: I then tried using $(sys.time), as in the example, and got no substitution either, so I'm obviously missing some key thing. Here's the resource for that test:
  2. Thanks - so if I understand this correctly, the following body should work? It may be a bit before I can test this. title=Door Unlock KP&body=Door unlocked by user $(sys.node.ZW007_1.USRNUM)&sound=sms_notification.wav
  3. Adding to the annoyance, the ISY Portal Web console omits all of this, and lets me lock/unlock only.
  4. Feature request (if not already done). Is it possible to add variables to the body of the message? For example, I have a notification for "Door unlocked by keypad". I'd love to be able to add the user number to the message. I know I can set up separate conditions (and notifications) for each user with if..and.., but it would be nice to not have to do that for multiple users.
  5. I recently added a Z-Wave door lock (Baldwin's version of the Kwikset Encode). It works well, but there's an important menu option, present in the "desktop" version of the Admin console, missing from the mobile UI: Users. Here's what it looks like on the desktop: and on iOS: I'd love to see the Users option added to mobile. Thanks.
  6. Ah, got it. Thanks.
  7. Thanks, but what I wanted to know is WHY I would want to use a group - what's it for? When would using a group be appropriate?
  8. Can you explain Notification Groups? I can't figure out what the use model is.
  9. For myself, I like the history as iOS has this nasty habit of disappearing notifications that show as banners and then I can't find them again. A "delete all" button would be fine.
  10. I got it working. Needed to various resets and saves, and mysteriously the device showed up. Notifications now come through. Thanks.
  11. Ah, there's the rub. "No Devices Linked to this Account". Did I miss instructions on how to do that?
  12. Ah, missed that. Thanks. No notification received. Output box has: HTTP/1.1 200 OK X-Powered-By: Express Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * Vary: Origin Cache-Control: no-cache Content-Type:
  13. Thanks, I found that. Next problem - I configured a test notification as instructed (screenshot attached). When I click Test, I get: "TCP client request failed. [Net Module Rule 1:400]" Interestingly, in the Actual box the = and & are URLencoded, which doesn't match what is shown in the instructions.
  14. I tried to follow the instructions to add notifications. When I go to the Notifications tab in the iOS UI. I get "ERROR Could not renew access token. Invalid refresh token. Please login." and an OK button. The app connects to my ISY and can see all the devices, etc. I don't know where it wants me to login.
  15. I used the info from this thread to interface an Insteon USB wireless bridge (the 2413U USB PLM will work too) to an ISY994. It works, and isn't that hard to set up. I also have Z-wave stuff on my ISY - you can buy it with Z-wave support already installed.
  16. It works! It works! I could not get the ISY+stick to auto-discover a 2447S dual-band switch, but if I entered the address directly it found it. Thanks!
  17. I am aware that the ISY needed to be rebooted, but evidently I didn't wait long enough after powering on the Pi. Rebooted the ISY again and it shows connected. Thanks. I still have an Insteon Hub (that works), but wanted to test out adding a new device.
  18. Thanks for all the work on this. I have assembled and connected my own copy. I did notice that the install.sh doesn't make the bridge.py executable, so my first attempt failed. Easy to fix. If I run bridge.py I see: INFO: Found ttyUSB0 port INFO: Found ttyAMA0 port INFO: Bridging between ttyAMA0 and ttyUSB0 So that looks good. But I don't seem to be able to add an Insteon device. Is there something I can do on the ISY to check that the bridge is seen?
  19. Thanks everyone for the info. I wish this was made clearer in the "getting started". @Javi, I am happy to hear that UD Mobile will gain more features. I think what has confused me is that the short titles of options don't make it easy to discover features. For example, the UD Mobile button for Z-wave says "Include and exclude Z-Wave devices". But if you tap on that, the options (which I had not reached earlier) are Add, Remove and Stop. These mean different things from "Include and exclude", in my opinion. I think these should be consistent. The lesson for me is that I need to just start exploring and see what's there, and not rely on the labels.
  20. OK, forget I said "web browser". Java is considered a security risk everywhere and I had removed it from my system long ago. Clicking on that start link has my browser complain that the file type is harmful. Yes, I dismissed that and was able to open it. How about my point about UD Mobile being very limited in functionality?
  21. I'm new to the ISY world with an ISY994+ ZW+ PRO. I have a lot of Insteon devices, and am aware of the lack of a supported/available bridge to the Insteon world - am following MrWorf's developments there. In the meantime, I got a few Z-Wave devices and I figured out how to add them to the ISY. The part that confuses me is that, as best as I can tell, the ONLY way to fully manage the ISY (including adding devices and programs) is to use a web browser that supports Java, and for Windows 10 that means IE11. I had thought that UD Mobile could do it, but if it can, the feature is well-hidden. I thought maybe ISY Portal could do it, but no. You can't even connect the portal to the ISY without a Java-enabled browser to authorize it. Have I missed something? I don't understand how, in 2021, Java is still a requirement for administering an ISY.
