Is it possible to use the ISY to set Humidity Levels on the Venstar Thermostats? I definitely can read the levels but I have not figured out how to set the level? If not, will this be an upcoming feature? Thanks

Thanks Brian My post is a perfect example of where you should read the manual first Thanks again

Hello I just purchased the new PLM however when I replaced my old 2412S it does not power up the ISY I also noticed that there is no ground prong. Is it possible that I was shipped something that is labelled wrong or is a separate power supply now required with these new PLMs?

Thanks again Lee I'll check when this occurs again But I have no programs that do anything with my dining and pool table at the same time. All of their programs are independant. And this issue seems to be random ie Downstairs Hallway linked to Dining Room Table and Dining Room Scene also linked to Kitchen lights. What could possibly be creating links on the fly? Especially ones that do not appear in the device and scene table on the Main Tab? At different parts of the day I modify (adjust Scene) the light level of these different rooms. For example at sunset I set the Pool Table to 100%, the Dining Room to 40%, the Hallway to 100%. All of these, any many others, run at sunset. Could this be the issue? Could runnung these programs to adjust scenes, many of them runnung at the same time, cause random linking? btw isn't the only way to create links a manual process? iow programs can't create links?

Hi Lee I should of thought of saving the results. I will post them the next time this occurs. But maybe this might be helpful. The last example I provided: I created a Scene called 'Dining Room Motion'. The Scene has a Motion Sensor as a controller and a Dimmer as a Responder. When the issue was taking place where the Dining Room Motion Sensor was triggering my Pool Table Light - I could press the Set button of the Dining Room Motion Sensor and turn the Pool Table light off and on. Even though the Pool Table light was never added or was currently part of that scene. My first attempt to rectify this was to remove both the Dining Room Motion Sensor and the Dining Room Table Dimmer from the Scene Dining Room Motion. I did a Restore on both devices after removing them from the Dining Room Motion Scene. Then I added the Motion Sensor and Dining Room Table Dimmer back to the Dining Room Motion Scene. Each step of the way I experienced no issues. But, once my Dining Room Motion Scene was re-setup the Motion Sensor was still triggering my Pool Table light I did this several times with the same result - including doing a restore on the Pool Table Light when the Dining Room Motion Scene was empty. But still the issue occurred. I finally added the Pool Table Light to the Dining Room motion Scene, and then removed it - which fixed the issue. I'd assume that the link was in the Scene because 1) The Motion Sensor did not trigger the Pool Table light when removed from the Scene and 2) the link appeared to remain in the Scene "hidden" during this process. Anyway, if this only happended once I would not have posted it but this is the third time in as many weeks with different devices.

I’d like to check with the forum and see if others have experienced the following; and see if anyone has figured out the issue and a solution Spontaneous links get created between controllers and different responders – and it appears to be random. For instance, after several weeks of flawless ISY operation, all of a sudden, when my downstairs Hallway Motion Sensor was triggered ON, my Hallway light turned ON, but then so did my Dining Room Table light, which is on a different floor altogether, has its own motion sensor and in its own Scene. The Dining Room Light was clearly not setup in ISY as a responder in the Hallway Scene however the links appear in the PLM Table. Later, my Dining Room Table Motion Scene, which only has a Motion Sensor and a single light (Dining Room Table light) also triggering my Kitchen light ON and OFF when, in my ISY setup, the Kitchen light is not part of that scene. Today I found my Dining Room Motion Sensor turning on one of my Second floor lights (the light over my Pool Table) when, as I indicated before, only the Dining Room Table light and it’s corresponding Motion Sensor are the only devices in the scene. In each case the links do appear to have been created in the PLM. I had to correct each case by making the rogue light part of the Scene triggering it and then remove it. So, any ideas as to what could be causing this spontaneous linking to occur? Is this a problem with the PLM, just acting crazy, or with the ISY corrupting the PLM links table? Thanks

Thanks again Lee I restored the PLM and I now get events for all my switches except for the two new Dual Band Dimmers I've recently installed.
-
Since upgrading to the latest firmware my ISY will not recognize the double tap of my dimmers and switches. ie IF Control Dining Fast On Even the event log does not display anything when I double tap the switch. Has anyone else experienced this?

Where in the ISY interface can you replace devices? Sorry. Searched the wiki and I could not find it.

Release 2.8.3 Beta is Now Available

So, if Occupancy is checked and the Motion Sensor is the Controller part of a scene, it will send an ON command to all the Responders every time it senses motion - even if the Responder is already on? -

Thanks LeeG If you don't mind could you give me an example where you'd think setting the Occupancy to checked (IOW when checked an On command is sent for every motion detected) is useful? -

Hi guys Can you please explain the new motion sensor setting in 2.8.3? Also, does this mean the only jumper setting required is jumper 5? Thanks -
Hi All of the Motion Sensors are Rev 2.0 Thru the ISY all of the Dusk/Dawn settings, including the one that are reporting an ON/OFF, are set to 102.

Hello I have ten 2420M motion sensors in my home serving 10 different rooms. All of them work when it comes to motion and all of them report their status, as On/OFF, in "Current State" on the ISY-99i's Main device list table. However Only 5 of them report the "Current State" as either On/Off for Dusk/Dawn. The remaining 5 report nothing (blank) and I can't use this status for programming. Is the ISY-99i limited to only being able to read 5 Dusk/Dawn sensors? btw the 5 that don't work are all located near an access point and near other sensors that work. All sensors have both jumpers 3 and 5 set to on. Thanks

Hi oberkc I'll try it btw the 'Kitchen is Dark' program is just used as a boolean variable. I have a 2420m montion sensor installed in the kitchen. I have a program that tests the dusk/dawn setting every 5 minutes and after two sequential identical outcomes, either on or off, it changes the 'Kitchen is Dark' program status to true or false by running either the Then or Else portion of the program. 'Kitchen is Dark' has no programming in it. Strictly used as a variable. Anyway, I use the program, succesfully, to change scene settngs in the Kitchen. I've also been able to use it sucessfully as a test condition outside of folders - but no luck within folders. However, I ended up posting my issue in this thread because it doesn't appear to only be my 'Kitchen is Dark' program. I've also used the folder=true test and got the same results. The program I want to run, doesn't. Thanks for your help

Hello oberkc I never realized that. That a trigger has to occur between 8:30 and 9:30 and not prior. However, I did try what Rand suggested and added the condition (trigger) And Folder 'dinner 8:30 to 9:30' is True ie IF program 'Kitchen is Dark' is true And Folder 'dinner 8:30 to 9:30' is True Then Set 'Kitchen Counters' on and it still did not work. As I posted earlier I had to move the program into the root and add the schedule condition. Anyway, wouldn't the above added statement act as an appropriate trigger?
-
Hello Rand and Michel I'm using firmware v2.7.14 In the examples I posted all the conditions were true as soon as the folder conditions became true at 8:30. The Program status for 'Kitchen is Dark' became true over one hour before the status of the folder became true. It actually triggered another program not in a folder. btw I have tried to also include the condition And Folder 'dinner 8:30 to 9:30' is True with the same outcome. For some reason 'Evening Counters' does not run. Last night I took it out of the folder and put it into the root and added the time condition to 'Evening Counters' IF program 'Kitchen is Dark' is true AND From 8:30:00pm To 9:30:00pm (same day) It ran perfectly. At 8:30 ('Kitchen is Dark' was already true) the Kitchen Counter lights came on. ???

Hello, I use folders quite a bit to make sure that specific programs only run at certain times of the day/night. However many times when the folder conditions are true (status=true) and the program within the folder conditions become true, the program does not run - unless I run the IF option manually from the Program Summary Tab from the admin console. Is this a known bug? Or is it that that the conditions of the programs within the folder must be true the instant the conditions of the folder are true? I appreciate the help. btw The folder is called 'dinner 8:30 to 9:30' IF From 8:30:00pm To 9:30:00pm (same day) Then Allow programs in this folder to run The program located in the folder is called 'Evening Counters' IF program 'Kitchen is Dark' is true Then Set 'Kitchen Counters' on So even though the status of Kitchen is Dark was true at 8:30 the program 'Evening Counters' did not run and remained false. However I ran the (If) from the Program Summary tab and it ran because all the conditions were true.

Hello I saw an example of a Date Range test in this thread. But I cannot find anything other than a time (or sunset/sunrise) test in the schedule feature for programming Where or how do you implement a date range? Thanks
