Zwave Three way
Understood. I have several overhead lights that were originally controlled by classic three way switch wiring but are now controlled by Insteon switches. Each light has 2-3 switches that are grouped together as a scene to control the individual light like “chandelier” The switches do not share any wiring anymore In addition, several of those lights are then linked in larger scenes like “living room” all works great with Insteon but I am concerned about supply issues as these switches seem to have limited life spans. At time of replacement can the above be done with a typical zwave, say GE enbrighten, using ISY scenes? thanks for your patients. I am a hobbyist at best

Sorry, not clear. Are you suggesting writing programs for each circuit? Will ISY scenes work with zwaze? Seems would be more robust

Zwave Three way
So it’s the last option I am interested in so as not to have to find my old three way wires. Have you or anyone reading this utilized that configuration and if so how did it go? Thanks

Zwave Three way
I have been looking at various zwave plus switches. I was hoping to just mimic my current setup. One switch to line load and neutral, a second/or more to line and neutral and then link the switches as a scene. Works so well with Insteon I can’t tell they are not physically connected. Has anyone tried this with zwave. If so, how does it function?

Zwave Three way
I turned my house over to insteon 15+ years ago. At that time I made all my 3 way switches virtual relying on my ISy to create scenes between load switches and “slaves” which were just load/neutral switches ( having capped the old travelers) If I’m forced to move to zwave can this be robustly recreated or will I need to re wire my old three way circuits? Is anyone out there currently using ISy/ zwave like that? Curious what your experience has been. Thanks.

SMS Gateways
Does pushover send SMS too or just push? I have IOS so I can’t customize push notification sounds. With Sms I can customize alerts so I can immediately figure out if it’s urgent. That’s what I’m going for here.

SMS Gateways
Thanks for the response. I use mobi linc for push notifications and isy for email notifications but I need texting for more emergent messages like an alarm or water leak as I don’t always run to check pushes. It looks like I can use IFTTT for limited texting but looking for a more direct process like a universal Sms gateway so I can use the ISY text option.

SMS Gateways
I am currently using a verizon sms gateway for my ISY emergent notifications ( XXXXXXX@vtxt.com). Works fine but I am considering switching carriers to ALtice who does not provide sms gateways. Does anyone know of a free gateway service for low volume email to sms?

hinge pin zw door sensor
I was never able to get it to work. Recently tried again after upgrading to the 5.x platform but no luck. When I use the activity log the ISY does show the signal recurved but doesn’t change the status of device. Too bad because it’s a nice, subtle design that requires no real installation.

Thanks but the problem is that the status of the node doesn’t change so can’t use it in any way. Hopefully 5.0 will adress and hopefully that makes it to beta soon

I was not able to resolve. Put my sensor in a drawer and figured I’d try again when 5.0 out

Has anyone had any luck with the ge/jasco hinge pin smart door sensor? My ISY994i recognizes it but doesn't change staus when switch is activated. Simple program question
the program is essesntialy written exactly as I descibed. It does seem that the wait cycle is being interupted but I didnt think that was possible. Shouldnt the program run through even if the original "if" condition changes during the wait?

Simple program question
I have three garage doors, each with an I/o device attached. I wrote a simple program if: sensor 1 or sensor 2 or sensor 3 is on Then: turn on appliance module, wait one minute, turn appliance module off. The program turns the module on but not off. The module never fails in any other program/scene so I don't think its a communication issue. Further, if I change the program to read then: turn on appliance module and run program 2 "then" where program 2 then states " wait one minute then turn off appliance module" it works every time. Any ideas? thanks.
